So you are running in there seperated from your group and doing your own thing and get kicked? Surprising.
Not to mention the text below, the way you write this shows that you are not the poor victim that claim to be.
Well you let me know where it says on vote dismiss where it says: "Does not match party's play style". I guess I should kick every scrub in Weeping City who doesn't follow mechanics or every healer who doesn't DPS in between heals because they don't match my play style either. C'mon, man. Not to mention, if they had a problem with the way I was playing, you'd think they wouldn't says something on the previous 9 floors.
I think the responses I've been getting on this thread is self evidence of ignorance. Whether or not I was being a complete troll or being beneficial to the group; one of the other 3 people should have said in chat, "Hey please stick with us". Not a single word was said from anyone. I already mentioned that I conformed to their play style. They skipped many gold chests so I assumed they would skip the last one. It's against the spirit of the game to kick people unwarranted which I feel I have been multiple times; only for playing Bard to the best of my ability to the benefit of the group. If you choose to point the finger at me then so be it. I won't be in POTD anymore anyways because of the same ignoramuses on display in the latter posts.
EDIT: Updated OP. I did get a very nice response from SE on my ticket. I gave them the names of the 3 people who voted to kick me and the time it happened. SE will sort this out. I still won't be going back it because I'm tired of having my time wasted.

I've never been kicked, nor have I even seen anyone initiate a Vote Dismiss in Deep Dungeon. I've completed 2 Padjali weapons, so I've played it a decent amount.
Of course there is always the chance that you may run into a few jerks that will kick for no good reason, but it shouldn't be common. If it's happening repeatedly (as often as you say it is), I have a hard time believing that you have no fault in the matter.
I don't think the other responses here show ignorance as you claim. I don't think this problem is common within Deep Dungeon and it seems to be something you specifically are experiencing. You create a thread to complain about it and then you don't like the response if it isn the one you wanted. If others aren't experiencing the behavior that you are reporting, then they are going to ask what reasons there may be for this to be happening, including whether or not the issue is you within the group (s).
I am confused. The guy complains about getting kicked... and then in, like, the NEXT POST, he says he has a habit of splitting off from the group to do his own thing? Why would you complain about getting kicked when you're doing something absolutely kick-worthy...?
Why should they have to warn you not to, either? It's pure common sense.
I feel your pain, OP. Three of my friends last night were running Palace and complaining of a bard who would split off and sit at the Cairn and not contributing until they were done. Did it every single floor.

he doesn't cause wipes, and is contributing to clearing the floors faster without anyone else's help. if anything that is way better than an average. why is that 'absolutely kick-worthy'? since when is being competent a bad thing
well at least you don't end up with the groups that wipe purposely on floor 29, 39 because they didn't get enough weapon/armor updates and have no other save file. Either way it's waste of time regardless but I still go to level my alts in there :d
It could still come off as a very "I'm in here to do my own thing, the rest of you stay out of my way" type of deal maybe. Kicking before the last floor sounds likely that the group just really didn't appreciate that at all. Or I guess possibly they wanted to get a friend in instead, but that doesn't seem likely in these, I would think. Maybe they thought player was just there for his own benefit/upgrades and didn't care about team progress.
Bottom line, splitting off coulda still stressed the others out, even if it did turn out well/better. Is a shame the team didn't communicate it at all, but, dems the breaks, they're not required to or anything.
I'm not entirely sure if we're getting the whole story from the OP if this has happened multiple times, though I'm sure the party that he went into detail about was probably a misuse of the vote kick system. I will concede that there is a definite problem with the vote kick system and people who abuse it with little to no repercussions, but I also believe that these incidents are pretty few and far between. On a side note, keep in mind also that it only takes 2 to kick someone in a 4 person party, which means it's entirely possible that one of the three are innocent.
I personally have been on both sides of the problem throughout the years and two major incidents come to mind. My first experience as the kicker was with a gladiator tank in DoM gear in Dzemael Darkhold who wouldn't use Flash and then cursed out anyone who tried to give him advice stating "you focus on your job, and don't tell me how to do mine." This was back when Tanks could auto-queue and get back into the same dungeon they were kicked from, which meant that we kicked him 3 times in the same dungeon. When he got back, he would do nothing but stand around, specifically trying to start arguments in the party log. This person deserved to be kicked because of the fact that he was specifically bad mouthing people who were trying to help him and refusing to participate even when he returned. Of course, even if he peacefully accepted our advice, he still would have needed to leave the group in order for us to complete the dungeon successfully since he would not have been able to survive much less hold threat after the first boss fight.
The second experience in question consisted of an incident back when I tanked the Lost City of Amdapor (this was back when this was very new content). I was tanking with the absolute minimum base line gear, and since I was on the PS3 it took forever for the digital keyboard to pop up when you wanted to type. The WHM and SMN in the party said not to open any chests because they thought that any of chests could turn into a Mimic. Unfortunately I was mid-pull for this and didn't want to lose aggro since my item level was so low. This unfortunately became a problem because the SMN was constantly pulling more, and keeping us in combat making it impossible for me to both play and get a message in word wise. So instead, I thought that I could show them that I know which chests are mimics and that might buy me some time so I can message them that only specific chests are mimics. Unfortunately, immediately after I opened the non-mimic chest they vote kicked the other dps in the party, thinking that he was the one who opened the chest. I stop in front of the Gourmand's gate and tell them that not only did I open the chest, but that not every chest can be a mimic, which led to a small argument. Unfortunately I was only able to get 2 messages in because the SMN who was pulling during the entire Duty decided to pull the boss. Keep in mind that none of us are geared and the WHM is not going into cleric stance to do damage, so when they do this, I know that we cannot beat the Gourmand since if he swallows the SMN, I alone cannot break the mouth which means that it's only a matter of time from there. I personally stood outside the gate since I told them we need to wait for a 4th, and they insistently remained on the boss. Unfortunately for them, the scenario played out exactly as I thought, and the WHM didn't know he needed to break the mouth, instead trying to heal the SMN within the mouth of the Gourmand. Of course, I was kicked, though that's not to say I wouldn't have still tanked once we got our fourth, they just bullied the fact that they had 2 votes towards kicking me and tried to impose their way of doing things with it (which is Vote kick abuse in a nutshell).
I guess the rest of the people in this thread don't seem to realize that he WAS contributing if he was soloing rooms BY HIMSELF to help clear faster. If the party was unhappy with his play style, they should of spoke up on the first 9 FLOORS they had to do so. They didn't, which seems to me that the 3 of them queued together, didn't like the silver chest drops they got, and vote dismissed the guy they didn't queue with so they could leave and not get penalty.
If you're against a person soloing rooms to be more efficient and waste less time, you're probably the problem.
