Additional penalties for mentors insta-leaving dungeons?

A lot of mentors getting dungeons or trials for roulette seem to be leaving as soon as they pop in because they want a guildhest, leaving a lot of newer players stranded. Seems like it happens with the healer and tank ones most often, leaving DPS alone in instances.

Is there some sort of additional punishment than the 30 minutes? It's really disrespectful to the people who are queuing for these only to end up in an empty instance.

Afraid not, the only penalty they get is the 30 minutes.

wow... why those people choosed to be "Mentor" if they dont act like one?

Why do they even play this game and ruin other (New) people expierence, that may them think like: "this game is full of jerks, I play an other MMO, bye!"

I usually end up in these and try to help if I can since they're lower level usually so it can be done without a tank (or heal sometimes) but other times it's higher level dungeon roulettes where people "fake disconnect" to try to get kicked to avoid penalty... then they log back in and leave anyway. >_>

as long as people as a whole justify the attitude of Mentors in terms like...they are not there to hold hands, they are not there to carry and the like, we will have those troubles and we will encounter those problems and as long as the community are allowing it by saying *nobody is forced to do something they dont want to do* when they in fact choose to do it by the Mentor sign AND by signing into Mentor Roulette then I am afraid nobody has a space to complain about the actual sad state of mentorship.

Once again, you, community, has demanded this system put into place, and you got exactly what you wanted, complaining now is too late, when it was time to do so, nobody if not a few came forward...now live with it

Because the crown and the cute flying pony :/ As long as SE keeps putting rewards for the mentors, they will continue

I'de go for a loss of the mentor statut if you leave....lets say....10 times (just for the emergency case or real connection issues, 10 seems pretty fair to me if you're not Bruce Willis) and, of course, a reset of your progression for the mount.

Yeah i like my crown and i would like to get the mount.
But the real problem i had as being a mentor is: the mentality of the majority of new players which is the same as the stupid people who wants a carry in other roulettes.

As a mentor i tried to explain strats/basic rotations on the jobs i know a bit. But the only i had in return where like "let me play how i want to" => basically what the bad people say in the high level content

So yeah, im just here for my pony and always up to explain to nice people asking for tips.

And for the OP, the idea to add more penalty will just be a pain for players like me, i hate to have my 30mins penalty but it's way better then play with stupid dumb ppl

On the other hand, sprouts did not ask for bad mentor, they just want (most of the time again) do the content and learn and are forced to deal with people who are mentors but do not have the patience to do thing.

Then in that case why not use the vote kick option ?
Explaning others that he/she's attitude will damage everyone experience and it better for everyone to get rid of that person beause of his attitude instead of leaving and "punish" the 2 others because of a ***
If said person is really harassing, then it's legit
(again, not saying you are not doing it and rage quit etc, just trying to understand)
