1 Materia makes any crafted item better than any NM/Raid/Dungeon item. Why?

I think you're all gonna care a lot less about Raid Gear once you get your AF Job Gear.

Also whenever the Level Cap gets raised, there will certainly be new Higher Level Raid Gear from New Raids that you will want.

Dungeons almost always give the best gear at 1st. Then whenever new content is about to be released (with new raids and gear) they add some craftable equivalent of the previous top gear for the lamers like me who can't win or don't do raids.

I am certain that there will be new AF Gears, Raid Gears, NM Drops that blow away any Materia Crafted items...until the next patch drops...and the next...and the next...

That is not true. All my UU NM gear says it is Non-convertable and Non-meldable.

So it is pretty useless.

Like others have said artifact will be the best gear when released. Also don't forget no one has Ifrit weapons yet so no one really knows if the crafted weapons will be the best. But really I don't mind materia farming right now, keeps me out of Uldah.

You quoted the wrong post, but, no. I'm saying that we should balance crafting around the (widely proven) assumption that it's so easy that a simple script can do it.

and where's the proof for your "widely proven" statement?


I got all my crafting level legitimately thank you very much, and it is insulting when people like you try to insinuate that every crafter who put the effort in to grind are all botters.

besides, going by your logic, we should also "rebalance" gathering and farming, since those can also be botted, hell, why don't we just get rid of everything other than dungeon boss fights?
