This is gonna be shocking, but I ran the Vault with a friend because it was his first time through (he hasn't been on in like a year or so), and I was healer, he was blackmage. Everyone was nice, understanding and waited for me to actually explain stuff to him! Shocker I know but it exists. Oh joyus day. Funny part was I kept telling him to stop running into the damn horses on Zerg. He made some snide comments at me and I just told him "Dead" :P

I like to tell people that that whole fight is like a Mario Party Minigame gone to the extreme.

I usually heal WC with my static's whm, we definitely know what we're doing, but we both groan when the tank of our alliance is the one tanking Forgall... no matter how quick we are with our instant heals, more often than not he auto-attacks the exact same time as Hell Wind's damage goes out so they instantly drop dead. Not even a half second where their hp were in the single digit-- they just die. It's incredibly frustrating as a healer and makes me doubt my worth and level of skill, but sometimes it's just the game itself.

It's not a bad idea to hallowed/holmgang/living dead for Hell Wind, you may not NEED to use it but you don't really need it anywhere else anyways, and it ensures you'll live through it no matter what (maybe your healers suck, or they're lagging, or server ticks are against you). I guess the only problem is if the dps is bad enough that you see a second Hell Wind. Or a third.

The first time I fell off during Ozma since release, and the reason? My dying mouse died for real, said mouse disconnecting made Windows disconnect my controller while I was in-motion, and thus ran off the edge right at the beginning of Ozma like some kind of suicidal cartoon character.

I wish that were the only thing that happened that run. Let's just say I basically hardcasted Ascend for the entire duration of Calofisteri. In the times I was alive myself, naturally, because at some point you just get hit by stuff, and I got hit by stuff and slight lag. Joy of joys.
During Forgall one of the DPS goes "not even a single heal wtf heals". Yeah, if the other Alliance's tank hadn't found it funny to tank the one thingy with a cleave and a massive tailswipe in a way it cleaved everyone and thus interrupted my spells, you'd have lived. Alas.

All of that for? Nothing. The drop I want yet eludes me, and I learned that nobody'll thank you for hardcast rezzing everyone a bajillion times AND lb3'ing.

Seriously, why don't people ASK if the alliance is cool with the MT turning Calofisteri so no one gets hit, it throws me and my 10 fps off so bad.
All I got for show is a migraine and a dead mouse after like 6 years of loyal service for being one €5 "oh hell my old mouse just died" purchase. R I P.

So just did the Anti-Tower. Is this the week of horrible players or what? I swear. This player had in his search info to use auto translate because he doesn't understand other languages well, which is fine and my friends and tried for him. Problems arose for my friend in real and me messaging people who I was keeping in contact with irl. I was tanking so when I stopped the party had to stop which i feel bad for so I try to rush things along to make up for the fact of them waiting. He kept saying in his native tongue to Go. I asked him to use auto translate because I can't understand what he is meaning even though I figured it meant go. He admitted as such and thought he was using auto translate and apologized. We had to have these brief moments of stopping because like i said something was going on irl for my friend and we were getting concerned for her. We finally reach the boss, we have been burning through everything really well and I haven't been losing hate to him so I think i'm doing a great job tanking. At the last boss before we open the coffer, he just told my other friend who was a bard, and me to give up on tanking and barding then left before we could say anything. Like what. the. hell. Should also mention he had on VIT melded into his accessories and was not doing Alexander Savage for I did not see a single savage gear on him. Sooooo yeaa. I'm not having a fun week.

For me I've had many impatient people this week. Someone needs to brb for a minute (One time it was me, as a healer) and the rest proceed anyways. The one time for me when I returned, they were already fighting a mob and the Tank was just about to die.

During my adventure to gear up my monk with proto-midas gear, I found a wild Selli in a8n! I got to pet the Selli a few times, she was very nice, very fluffy and soft. I unfortunately forgot to take pictures.

And in that run my roll of 97 on a shaft was beaten by a 99. Oh well.

I just feel like, this week, the DF runs I've been in have been terrible. Actually, the only good run was when I got story Garuda for one of my leveling roulettes (wow, hadn't been in there in forever) and the other three were all brand-new sprouts. Yeah they had difficulties it being their first time, but we didn't wipe (though the tank accidentally let Garuda cleave the party and I died since I was squish WHM XD). I did my best to explain mechanics, and they ACTUALLY FOLLOWED THEM (hiding behind the stone pillars, killing the feathers ASAP, etc.). I mean, I was so proud of those three sprouts. Wish I could have given them all comms.

It's stuff like this that makes me think Forgall is "meant" to be shared amongst the 3 tanks, so basically having all 3 of them ensure that they're at the top 3 spots for aggro. That way, when one dies, Forgall automatically turns to the next in line. Of course, when you consider that there's no way to compare your own aggro level against someone in another alliance's, the whole thing falls apart.

Honestly, for all that I keep calling it Wiping Shitty, I actually love the raid and I think its complexity is a huge step in the right direction. But flawed mechanics like these, and especially Ozma's hugely flawed mechanics which can mess up anyone no matter how well they perform them, makes me think it really needed more beta testing.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that any of Ozma's mechanics, by themselves, are too complicated. They're not. But when they're thrown together at you in a mess, it becomes almost impossible to deal with it. For example, the meteors encourage people to run out, drop them, then stack up and shield/heal, but at the exact same time, if Ozma happens to be in pyramid form, you also have to deal with the bleeding debuff, which spreads to other players if you're standing too close to them. For another, Assimilation can hit you if you happen to be in midair while Ozmashade is casting it, and completely unable to turn around.

That wild Selli was in there for her Mentor Roulette. I decided to be crazy and do one on my BLM today... really hoping it wasn't anything level 60 content. XD

I'm glad you find me nice, fluffy, and soft. ^.^ I found you very tiny, adorable, and very good at healing. I gave you my commendation, I hope you got others as well. \o/

Weeping City strikes again. I swear this is like the worst week of FFXIV ever for me. Que for WC with a friend, cause we are trying to get two specific things that are not dropping, and we get a new player who is a SCH. We get to the first boss and I ask if they can wait so I can explain the fight to the new person. Ignored. Boss is pulled an I have to explain the fight in the middle of the fight. Oh joy is joy. So I ask them could they possibly wait till I'm done explaining to the new person. One of them comments why not explain everything right now so we don't have to wait. I replied with oh sure explain the entire raid now, and hope up to each boss they retain that information which would be a lot, instead of explaining boss by boss to make it easier on them and make sure we don't have a wipe each run. So we get to the second boss, and they pull again without waiting. My friend kept hitting no on the Rcheck because we were trying to explain stuff to the healer, especially on Forgell. Someone from a different alliance said to kick my friend from the party. I'm like >_>. Then they asked me what does it matter to me if they know the fight or not, why didn't they watch the video. I replied with that the excuse watch a video before you que is old and overused. Not everyone wants to watch the vids or they learn better by doing then watching, like me I learn better by doing then watching but I still watch the vids to get a sense of what to do, but not everyone is the same. Then I replied with "I'm a mentor, i would kinda like to do my job, which is to mentor people." after that silence but my friend's and my mood were just destroyed. we were not happy this entire dang run. I'm just......why is this week turning out to be such a horrible week. The sad thing is there were only a few people in each alliance willing to try to help the new person. I'm just like "i wish i could comm you all nice people"
