Are FFXIV players even aware of the world that exists outside their door? I can't think of a group that needs a game like this more than the hardcore FFXIV player.

I would like Triple Triad on the go. Sometimes I'm just walking somewhere or I'm on a bus to go see my dad who lives 4 hours away so I would at least like to pass the time with some TT
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."

Let me catch more minions.

hmmm oh i have an idea : u have to run 5 km and avoid aoes from spawning monsters! hehe

Before an AR game, I'd like to see an app to check in with my retainers for ventures and selling things.

Not interested in AR/VR for this game and in general at least for the next few years. I prefer them to spend resources into making this game better. Like better content with more creativity, more customization options, homes for everyone, better voice acting etc etc etc.

Personally I think they might not be able to do anything of the sort specifically for XIV aside from possible retainer ventures but even that might be a stretch from what their focus for this game is. If they had something like that players might not really be spending much time actually playing XIV itself as much as they're aiming for.
However, that's not to say they can't come up with something FF related in general.
