Late to the Relic party, could use some advice to catch up.

So... yeah. Never bothered because of not really having enough time to dedicate to it. I stopped at i200 for my SCH book before I gave up.

However now that I have more free time, a lot of stored tribe tokens and no use for poetics and Eso's, what would be the most efficient way once I use up my stockpile? I'm thinking just keep doing Beast Tribes and grind Aethero until my mind breaks.

- Do your daily beastman quests (old are better because of the better rate if you have them ranked, but I did mine with Vanu and Vath)
- Do your daily roulettes for esos and poetics (as many as you can stand)
- For eso, the fastest way seems to be running The Aetherochemical Research facility (150 eso per run without bonus!)
- For poetics, I mostly ran Shiva hard (15 poetics per run, 90 if bonus)
- Prepare for the next phase by doing the weekly CT quest for aether oil (you only need 5 weeks of the quest to complete the next phase and you get tomes from the runs as well)

Edit: Almost forgot, you can also start gathering Amber-encased Vilekin with leve allowances for the current step. Similarly, you can start spending your GC seals to buy Moonstones.

2.X Beast tribes give 1 token a quest and you need 13 for an Unidentified Item. That means 13 quests for 1 item.

3.X except for Moogle quests give 1 token a quest and you need 18 tokens for 1 item but you can pick any.

Moogle quests 3 tokens a quest at rank 7+ and you need 18 for 1 item of your choice. This means you just need 6 quests for 1 item.

So if you want to do it quickly always do Moogle + 2.X beast tribes for your daily beast tribes.

At this stage of the relic, there is currently a situation where eso tomes create a conflict of interest between multiple steps. You can spend those tomes to get Unidentified Ores and Seeds for the 210 step... or you can spend them on Umbrite to get a head start on the 240 step. I would personally recommend slowing down the 210 step to get Umbrite. Eso is the only way to get Umbrite, whereas there are ways to get Ores/Seeds without eso. The Aether Oil is in a similar situation, being acquired by the CT Weekly Quest or 1800 eso, so do that quest for 5 weeks instead of stockpiling all that eso. This way, you'll end up working on all of the remaining steps at once and get it all done more quickly than doing exactly one at a time.

The final step also requires an item called Crystal Sand to complete. You can't actually require it until you're at that step, but the way you get it is by trading a variety of possible items for it. Great candidates for the trade are Amber Encased Vilekin(1 per sand), Moonstones(5 per sand), and Blue Gather/Crafter scrip tokens(5 per sand). Stockpile a good number of these items ahead of time to ensure that Umbrite is the final bottleneck.

For getting the Unidentifiables in general:

- 2.0 Beast Tribes are your friend. They are more efficient than Vath and Vanu, but Moogles do become more efficient when you've reached Rank 4 or higher and start receiving more than one kupo nut per quest. Whether or not you're at this point in moogles, I'd recommend doing 3 ARR tribes and replacing whichever one you find most annoying with Moogles. Even if you aren't Rank 4 yet, it won't take long to get there and the efficiency increase is worth it.

- When you reach 20 on a item, replace a 2.0 Tribe with a 3.0 Tribe.

- Poetics are fair game to be spent on Bones/Shells. Doing the relevant roulettes every day should get you at least 1 per day in poetics alone.

- If you can stomach them, Hunts provide a source of both Poetics and Eso at the same time. This makes it very lucrative for the Relic hunter who still needs both.

- Don't forget to gather your daily HW map. Wyvernskins can drop Shells and Arachaeo/Dragonskins can drop Ores. It's a nice bonus to get one from these.

I never did ARR beast tribes actually, but I'm maxed out on the HW ones sans Moogles which I still do everyday, gonna reach lvl8 with everyone else on time. Probably should have stockpiled on the kupo nuts for the items rather than selling the fibers...

I never managed to start the Aether oil step early because WoD never pops on DF anymore. Anyway thanks, gonna work on ARR beast tribes.

1800 eso's is a lot for an oil. You can and I know I did prior to the towers quest but personally now I think the best time to farm these is reset day and the day before reset given lots of people like to put them off. Also trying to queue for them during high traffic times would be best as well.

Beast Tribes (especially moogles if you have them at rank 7 is the fastest tribe, at 9 tokens a day it's 2 days an item) 2.0 ones are faster than the other 3.0 ones but you can't choose which one to get. Once you finish one specific type with the 2.0 ones, replace with vanu vanu (gives 45 eso also).
Hunts (if people do them on your server, gives really fast poetics and 2.0 allied seals can be turned in for 2 different items)
Daily roulettes

Do crystal tower quest every week while working on unidentified step. Queue times are bad unless you do them during EST/PST prime time, the earlier in the week the better. Queue as in progress as all 3 roles (if you have them leveled) for at least a minute to see if there is a spot. Earlier in the day is possible, but be prepared to wait 30min-1hour+ for a queue. On average probably an hour.

If you can gather, stockpile gatherer blue scrip tokens to buy sands with. It's about 4 sands per hour if you have both miner and botanist leveled and go to 3 nodes@3 items each. You can go to more if you are quick and cordial but a relaxed route will yield about 4. Even better if you can fish for perch.
You can do the amber using leves but I honestly find it super annoying.

Ugh... I never did the Crystal Tower (it came and went when I was going for a year).... I guess I'll have to start running through that while I'm gathering my items. They really make these quests as annoying as possible, don't they? Beginning to remember why I take breaks in the first place. It becomes extremely time consuming and takes away from playing other games. Been trying to get Alexander Midas done so I can start getting gears and can't even find a group for the arm of the son to clear it the first time. Doesn't help that the time of day I can play isn't ideal in the first place.

The 200-210 step isn't a problem for me because I have maxed out HW tribes and maxed out DoH/DoH and can gather Eso's efficiently. It's really the damn DF queues on the ARR raids that are annoying.
