If you're actually trying, I think that's good enough. When this thread first popped up, I didn't think much of it. I even made a comment several pages back of my own perspective. But now that the forums are imploding over this issue, I'm starting to get worried.
I'm going to put myself forth as an example of what this thread may or may not be about. I'm not in a static. I haven't done EX content past Ravana. I somehow make it through the DF content I've done so far with no kicks or complaints. I played SMN a lot, but recently have started playing BRD. I... don't know if I'm doing things "right" on either of them, but I try regardless. Apparently I've been parsed more than a few times (not sure if I can link the website, but I only play one character: Ninster Barlow on Balmung).
I have a friend and his friends that are in a static together, and from the odd times I've played with them I haven't heard complaints either. So, is no news good news?
Put differently, based on my past history (if I'm allowed to link I'll edit it in) and what's been stated here, how fast would I be kicked in any roulette content? On my bard OR my summoner? Should I drop one or both and figure out a job that's a better suit for me?
The biggest problems it seems people have is stuff like scholars just afk following a party member to let the fairy heal...

The biggest problem with dps is not using area skills on trash, something that SMN shouldn't have much of a problem with (though when they don't bane it's so terribly obvious) though bards sometimes don't. On any job just add up the potencies per target and use that to determine how many mobs to aoe on. Bard can be a bit strange due to aoe procs from dots ticking but generally 4+ you're losing too much dps applying those dots instead of aoe'ing for the procs to catch up. And it's a pretty low # regardless of job when you consider that you should be no more than 500 tp at the end of a trash pull due to regaining 100/tic before the next set of mobs.

I'm completely lost. If smn doesn't aoe - it's bad. If he does aoe - it is bad too?
I was getting yelled at in Haukke Manor for aoe because healer wanted to sleep mobs.and

Alot of players dont bother getting latest patch weapons. People still walking about with il200-210 weapons. Its mostly, PLD, DRG, BRD, BLM, NIN from what I see. Alot of people don't care for farming tomes, sephi ex, nidhogg ex.
Same people that join bird farm groups and I look at their main weapon and think maybe there is more important things you should be doing then farming birds and you're just taking up a spot that would be more suited for a person that already has there weapon.
Samething happens in dungeons where people cant defeat nidhogg cus they're using a il90 weapon can we gotta kick them since we can't do enough damage. Go buy a il115 weapon from a npc... its only 10k. The bar should be raised for having a higher item level to prevent players from going in unprepared.

If you have an inexperienced or undergeared tank or healer in Haukke, it's not unreasonable for them to want to sleep mobs to reduce the incoming damage to the tank. And, anyway, it's Haukke Manor - folks rarely fight more than three or four mobs at a time, there. Now, if the healer is insisting on sleeping mobs when pulling a dozen mobs at a time in Brayflox (Hard), that's another story - but Haukke normal? Even if you DO aoe, it's not gonna speed up the dungeon a whole lot...
When I come across a WHM/CNJ (or a BLM/THM, for that manner) who wants to sleep mobs in low level dungeons, I generally humor them. Let them have their fun, before the reality sets in that Sleep/Repose is a totally worthless waste of a skill that's almost never used later on in the game...

There is far bigger problems then players having 210 weapons, lol
Past few days i have been tanking.... as Ninja.
Do not know what it is lately with the amount of bad tanks and even some dps
I do give out a big Kudos to the healers![]()
Don't think I have ever used sleep. In fact think I removed from hotbar as soon as it was auto-added.

I used it the first time I was in the Stone Vigil. For me as a new player that place seemed so hard and I loved it! Then I learned that it is actually easy and only bad undergeared tanks make it seem hard... a lot of hope about the game's difficulty was lost during the next run when I could pretty much camp the Cleric Stance and no more sleep was needed anymore ._.
The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.
Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.
Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.
