This isn't a rant or anything, so much as a shout-out to someone. To the two people in my SMN's Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Hard) run a little bit ago, there's no need to be such jerks to people who haven't done the dungeon before. Here's what I came back to after watching the cutscene.

Seriously, there's no call to act this way. We didn't wipe, no one died. I will never understand why people have to be so rude to others they have never even met. It seriously just boggles my mind.

That's internet anonymity for ya. People can speak out freely because no one knows their true identities and it's an unfortunate thing. If all services/games/etc in all parts of the world required you to register with your SSN and your real information being readily available for anyone to see (Minus the SSN) Then it'd be a whole different story and people would start clamming up because they can't remain anonymous.

Adding another one. Ran Midas 1 on Ninja. Everyone seemed overgeared minus myself and the Paladin. Right at the start the Warrior becomes selfish and asks the Paladin to Tank everything, despite them being better geared vastly. After some convincing the Paladin agrees to tank, what happens next? You guessed it, the Warrior bitches to the Paladin about not keeping hate. Yet they refuse to stop using their enmity rotation and attempting to help via damage reduction. (Don't start the whole gimp your damage deal, you should be able to adjust to any situation)

Throughout the main part of the fight the WAR becomes an asshole and links a Tank guide several times, I ask them to stop it because they aren't helping. They then claim that they are helping. No, you really are not. You're being an asshole.

More enmity issues arise from the PLD because everyone vastly overgears her. (i205 average vs i220+ average) As a NIN I try to cut down the enmity from the BLM who steals it quickly and gives it to her via shadewalker. We manage to scrape by but this WAR was just being a constant asshole trying to berate the PLD for losing hate. Maybe you should tank instead of berating her is what I said, they then claim they have been. (They've been in deliverance just dpsing and being selfish by berating her rather than standing up to tank)

The story's a mess but we finish, the WAR still continues to link a tank guide at the end and I told them that they really were the worst people I've met and this WAR should be ashamed of themselves for having such a cocky attitude. Needless to say I consoled the Paladin and told her she did her best and went on my way.

The tl;dr of this: If someone is struggling, you can actually help out if you're the co-tank instead of berating them and being an arrogant ass. It doesn't make you look any better, and the entire party agreed on it.

Great idea. Then you can just be flat out murdered for performing badly in a game. This has actually happened.

Story :

Decided to do a Esofacility Run, everything was fine, 1st Boss, 2nd Boss, then Horror happened.

Igy and Laha Boss, Tank died cuz of standing in Ice Orb and getting hit by Fire Orbs after that, alright, I died cuz I did not expected that too happen at all... (Heck... out of 20-30 Runs?...) well who cares. SMN ressed me, I ressed Tank, we have beaten both.

Prim Boss, all three begin to go mad because a SCHOLAR uses FRIGGING CLERIC STANCE in such a EASY Dungeon?! THE WORLD IS GOING TO END YOU GUESS OR WHAT?!

I refused and told them a simple "Nope, not again this argument", didn't left Cleric Stance, DPS'd as I always do, using Dissipate as a Aetherflow Stack to DPS even more, what happens? Tank yells, "I'm not going to leave AoEs now, gl". No in fact, even both DPS did not DPS anymore and were standing still doing nothing.

We died, I told them seriously, this is going straight into the Forum, told them that A8S requires Healers to DPS aswell, no, any Hardcore Content does to ease the Checks a bit, right?
Typical Answer as you can see above, in the end I was tired of those uber cool Players and me the "Toxic" Scholar sat just down, throwing a Adlo sometimes, else letting Eos Heal.

WHAT DO WE LEARN ABOUT THIS?! The entire Time I spent sitting on the Ground while Eos Heals, I COULD HAVE THROWN DAMAGE OUT and end the Battle sooner, but People like that make it much worse!

Serious... Ya I'm upset, I don't want to wait 'til the Tank Drops to 60% HP and throw an Adlo out just waiting for the other Drop, it's madness and it is a flaw currently...
Learning my Role right, having all three at Lv.60, knowing when to use AoE's, when to enter CS and managing MP, that's why I run this Dungeon at all due of my AST Relic -_-

Due of the "Stalking Potential" the Lodestone allows, I have found out that all three Players belong in a FC, this makes even more sense now... What a Bad Luck I seem to have....
I assume this only means I won't touch the DF without Friends or FC Mates (Which ain't Toxic to others...)

Was running Cutter's Cry on my DRG alt. During the last trash pack before the first boss, the MCH takes damage, I don't know what he got hit by, but the WHM doesn't heal him although he's almost dead, just throwing some Stoneskins.
At the second boss, I get the sludge debuff and don't receive any heals or an Esuna, thus I ask for at least the latter. No reaction, but I keep myself alive with Life Surge and Bloodbath. Later, both MCH and WHM die due to a combination of the debuff and the whirlsand AOE, DRK and I kill the boss, then the WHM starts raging at everyone. The DRK shall learn how to tank while the DPS shall learn how to dodge. We explain them about unavoidable damage, making them even angrier. We're all wrong, the only person in the party who should need to receive any heals is the tank as you can dodge everything, everyone but them sucks, etc.
We kick that idiot, clear all the trash up to the final boss before an AST joins and we clear without any further problems.

Btw, I kinda wanna see this WHM go mad in dungeons such as Aurum Vale or the Vault

How come I didn't get you for my 50s? I got a scholar who would not DPS. He didn't even bring his fairie out until right before the first boss and I had to remind him. And since I got yelled at before for reminding a scholor about their fairie I phrased it in a way to make it look like his idea. "Where'd Eso run off to?" It was just Snowcloak so it wasn't detrimental, but still he wasn't doing anything at times. And that bugs me way more than it should. Especially on a SCH. Throw out a Bio or Miasma or something.

What does this mentality accomplish? Just because it's not end game, I shouldn't try? I had someone ask me why I used Trick Attack on Ultima once. Stating it wasn't needed. Does even the tiniest amount of effort scare people that much?

In that second statement, I actually like using Trick Attack whenever it's up on bosses anyway. (Assuming the rotation/buff/dot timings allow it)

Oh wow, didn't expected that much positive Posts, you know, the last Days farming some Dungeons for Esotorics has been painful in terms of Toxic Players.

Out of 20-30 Runs, well, let me say it like that, 6* forgot one... lol, Runs were Toxic, 2 of them were People refused to do anything and teaching me to become a better Healer. Hence, of course I do not Main Scholar, it just sadly has more DPS Potential then White Mage (Being good for the Burst, has to somehow sustain MP) or AST (Gravity usage without break is a horrid thing you can do even with a buffed Ewer Card which gets extended)

Yet if I see a Boss and his AoEs dealing only 1.000-2.000 Damage, be it on myself or the Tank itself.... This is really not threatening at all, so sitting down and throwing a single Heal every 10 Seconds isn't really Healing in my Opinion, it's just well some might understand, some not and I respect that, it's being lazy for me and I feel lazy when I don't do something in that time.

It just takes some nice Words, let it be "Yo Dio, mind if you focus on Healing more? I feel better that Way" so I heal only, of course this is going to kill time yet if that makes People happy or if the Tank is new in Content I appreciate it and let the Tank learn that Dungeon.

Pretty much been using Scholar for speeding up those Runs as most People even say they do it for their Relics and the Grind is rather being slow and annoying, so ya, I do my best to speed it up.
Heck, I wish we could take People from other Datacenters and Group with them seeing how many People suffer the same or they want a Healer for their Relic Grind Process :x

Heck whenever I see a Water Splash coming up from a Ninja, it is time for me to enter Cleric Stance, I'm not sure if Baning the Trick Attack from NIN still works but you know what I'm going for.
Sure I do my mistakes, being in Cleric Stance and accidently hitting on a AoE Emergency Skill that uses a Aetherflow Stack, in that moment I feel ashamed, things happens, if a Tank dies and I know how much I can resist from the Boss and what the Boss does generally in the fight.... There is time to let the Tank lay down in such situations and wait for your Swiftcast to come back.

I wish I had reported them, but to be honest, under what term does this fall? Harassement? Sure if I can prove somehow if they're friends, though, the fact is, I do have a different playstyle and that being a Healer focusing on keeping everyone alive and dish out the last DPS I can. They coulda have kicked me for my playstyle and they were on the right side :x
