nope the pvp in the game gets boring real fast
nope the pvp in the game gets boring real fast
Yes but i Would like 1 pvp zone Would be nice to world pvp they could turn seal rock into a zone id be happy
Feast is fine though it needs better ranked rewards.
Frontlines is bad and will stay bad so long as we have GC restrictions.
Personally I would've liked to see all of the armor including helmets be top 100 while top 10 had exclusive titles.
There also needs to be something better than necklaces for tier rewards, I mean come on, necklaces? who even glamours that? A lot of armor covers up the neck already.
I was pretty happy with the direction Feast was going in. It had a few problems, but for the most part it was solid and showed potential for growth. It was definitely the most competitive forum we've had for PvP so far, including the original Wolves den, and Seasonal Rankings was a step in the right direction. If they could just offer more incentives, revamp the Wolf Marks/vendor system, and provide adequate rewards, then they could focus on growing it as a regular and stable platform for PvP.
Frontlines, on the other hand, is a catastrophe. Two of the game modes had potential (Secure and Seize), but that potential can never be realized so long as GC restrictions exist. SE also, consistently, fails to find a good balance between 24-man and 72-man matches. Game modes often work for one, but not the other. It would have been nice if SE put the effort into making the matches remain balanced regardless of the match size.
Another area in which SE is failing is Wolves Den pier, and the PvP system as a whole. Allowing players to store PvP pre-sets was a HUGE step in the right direction, but we still don't have an adequate vendor system, a use for our Wolf Mark currency, useful PvP gear sets, etc. Wolves Den Pier should have been the hub for PvP players, much in the same way that Idyllshire or Mor Dhona is for end game players. We should have our own vendor systems, crafting selections, token exchanges, and gear upgrades available, rather than a near empty space which is currently only used to test out PvP actions.
Feast I'll wait and see, it was enjoyable enough though it did have issues I hope are ironed out by next season...
Frontlines I guess not... Grand Companies I actually like in concept, but in reality they've done nothing to justify their existence in this game (and that goes for PvE as well, though I guess I'll wait to see what new ranks in 3.4 offer), I still think a Mercenary-type system would be a solid middle-ground, but we've seen absolutely no progress on them addressing queues at all... In terms of numbers, I don't think we should even have 72 player Frontlines, I've always found it to be the weakest mode and I really miss the 48 player option... I think they should have dropped 72 player and just given us 24/48 player modes instead... Speaking of things I miss, Secure and Seize could do with a revival, but instead of making the Roulette more attractive, SE gave Shatter exclusive rewards... Heck, I miss Slaughter... I hated 72 player Slaughter, but the 24 player mode grew on me a lot by the end... The PvE elements in Frontlines are also something I'm disappointed with, Shatter being by far the worst thus far, like I said in the Shatter thread, I don't mind the PvE elements, I just wish they added to PvP, rather than detracting from it...
As far as rewards go... I have no idea what they're doing... I think they were right to drop Morale as a power stat, it provided an advantage that only really damaged the community. As special "skins" though, the PvP gear really does suck... Not because (IMO) they're hideous, but because of how easy they are to farm up... You can grind out even the latest sets fairly quickly, and SE doesn't introduce new ones often enough for them to be viable rewards IMO... If you're someone who wants that armor, it's very easy to get, and then you're done farming Wolf Marks... What's more, I think Feast has kind of replaced the vendor gear anyway, the Lone Wolf gear worked to generate interest in Feast and given it is exclusive it works much better as something to show off... Wolf Marks just really don't have a purpose IMO, I'll cap them and do some Desynthesis and/or get some Company Seals out of them, but I'm never actively looking to get Wolf Marks the same way I actively want Esoterics...
I'd kind of like to see Wolves Den Pier gain some daily/weekly PvP quests... No idea what the rewards could be though, but that's potentially a good way to generate more of a buzz about PvP... I almost wonder if PvP could function sort of like a Beast Tribe... It always did irk me that they put the rank requirement on gear, rather than just locking off the store option... Have PvP Rank function as Reputation, DPS/Healer/Tank daily/weekly quests that have you doing specific things in PvP, like reach Battle High X times or something... I could even see something like that allowing for a revival of things like the Fold, though maybe I'm just being crazy... It's entirely dependent on the rewards, but I think that kind of structure is a lot better for introducing more valuable rewards... They could add better options to spend Wolf Marks on, and OK I'd love converting 20,000 Wolf Marks into Umbrite, but I'll still just be doing Shatter and with no weekly cap I could bust out all the Umbrite I need very quickly and I don't even need to be winning... A series of daily quests can push me into specific modes on specific roles and I'd actually need to win... If they work it slightly differently to Beast Tribe quests, they can even make it less of a problem for queues; Today if the Fold day, the quests push everyone into the Fold, tomorrow is Secure, etc. etc..
IDK, I'm sick of Shatter and I haven't even played that much of it... Any dumb idea sounds better than what we currently have...

I would like them to fix the queue times, I dont mean removing the GC restrictions, but yesterday I queue up for only shatter and was in queue beyond 90 minutes during prime time and no shatter pop. Some players can be thrown into these really bad queue slot that makes no sense.
I would say yes if FL queues actually popped so...
At least it eventually pops unlike basically every other pvp mode now.I would like them to fix the queue times, I dont mean removing the GC restrictions, but yesterday I queue up for only shatter and was in queue beyond 90 minutes during prime time and no shatter pop. Some players can be thrown into these really bad queue slot that makes no sense.
Friend/recruitment code for special items and things (use before paying first sub) RACN78W5 (updated) info on items here http://sqex.to/Cz9 code is entered via the mogstation.
I am just assuming most people are queuing for shatter directly..... There should be more incentive to que straight up Frontlines roulette with a continuous bonus reward rather than just shoving everyone into shatter.
