Because you play poorly and are looking for a casual experience. With Candy Crush you're not wasting the time of the 3-7 other people who have to deal with grouping up with you.
You're not just not playing how I think you should be playing, you're just playing terribly. I don't want to play with terrible people who aren't willing to get better.
I play poorly to your standards which mean zero here. Read he sig. Your opinion is valued greatly.
You've said that you dont care about my opinion of good and bad, that is why I am asking you for your opinion. I really dont believe you are going to offer it though because you'll realize you are bad or below average by your own standard as well.
So far you've made these points:
* You believe you are a good healer.
* You only heal.
* You dont believe healers who can heal and dps to be better than you.
^ how do you rationalize this?
If "healing" is the sole metric, then those who heal and dps are going above and beyond, which would make them exceptional by comparison.
Just because it doesn't matter to you, doesn't make me wrong. I flat out don't want to play with people like you.
End of story.
This would be the equivalent of me playing with only Blizzard spells. You'd lose your shit at me if I only played half my class.
I feel like my job as a healer is not just healing but to help the group, and if dpsing makes the run go smoother, then maybe I should do it. :P
And standing around doing nothing gets really boring.
Nope, I don't get mad over a video game. I guess that's the difference between you and I. Happy 4th! Be safe!
Whether healer DPS should be done is purely situational, we have more than 5 actions for a reason. It will depend not just on your skill as a healer but the skill of everyone else. Can they avoid aoe? Can they stun correctly? Is the tank skilled with his rotation? Is the group doing big pulls? So if your healer doesn't DPS when it seems like they could, it might be a comfort level with what you or other party members have shown them. I don't think it should ever be expected more than a tank is expected to do certain sized pulls.
IMO if you're not confident with dpsing as a healer at all, I really don't mind if you're just healing. I rarely dps when I'm playing WHM myself and I don't know the rest of my party, because I'm often pretty scared that I won't make it out of CS in time.
But: You should at least try. If your tank uses CDs and doesn't really take much damage and the DPS don't stand in every AOE that might appear, why just standing around and don't using the rest of your skillset? Especially in low level-dungeons or playing as SCH I'd get horribly bored after a while, so I do my best to participate and use what I got, because it's there for a reason.
