Bringing your own child to play this game is completely fine. But I'm not gonna treat everyone as a 9 year old. I'll treat them with manners, being polite and respectful. If they don't the show the same, you gtfo my face, simple. Keep in mind have responsible for who and where he do things in the game, because some people can be real jackasses and thats your own resposible as a father.
Back on topic however, there is many players who sadly want a free carry. Next time it happens again I will actually screenshot or record it. Where I'm actually going to refuse to help people who don't pull enough weight. Heard so many people on this forum healers shouldn't dps even when there is nothing to heal. And when I did stop dps as healer in the last trial I did few mins ago on niddhogg, we managed not to kill adds, when I dpsed we managed to do it. So keep in mind, everything help, it really do, but also next time it happens again I'm going to leave and refuse to carry some one who doesn't want to improve or simply ignorant, so no thanks. Being mean? Nope, why should I play extra good for someone who is super bad?

If people suck give them friendly advice. Sometimes they cant take it well and argue or try to kick you but its all you can do.

ooo another 1 of these threads

Because you want to clear content more than punishing the people who seek carry. It is good philosophy in theory but it is really hard to sustain for longer period of time.
I have been farming Nidhogg Ex "kill parties" and if I am too lazy to stance dance a little bit as the tank during the adds, or if I don't attack the fang while tanking the boss, many groups fail at that point due to dps so I rather do it... tho they fail eventually anyways on mechanics like sable price... which good coz that saves them from seeing the enrage ^^ (nothing as sad as dying to the enrage ftw)

"You don't know what is happening on the other side of the screen."
While that is true, since I do not parse I can only tell how good people are by aggro & what moves they use.And yet still more often than not I see people who clearly have no understanding of their class doing 50-60 content. Drg without heavy thrust....okay that can be excused I guess, but oh they're only using Full Thrust combo. Hitting 1-2-3 over & over maybe popping a buff every 5 minutes, rarely using any ogcds & using botd just to use Geirskogal instantly & lose it. I can't count with both hands the number of DRG I have seen do that exact thing. I remember multiple times I was playing BRD & saw a DRG & was happy I'd get to wreck with piercing...oh they didn't use Disembowel, maybe on the boss?....nope.
Are they really all incapable of anything besides 1-2-3? No. They're lazy & ignorant with a "don't tell me how to play"attitude, that is the majority. A small percentage is probably actually disadvantaged due to motor skills/disabilities so you can't just blanket the lazy with the disadvantaged & pretend everything is fine. Most of the time when I play Weeping City & the tank dies, I am next highest in aggro with a 210 weapon(as Mnk/Brd or Drg) while more than half the DPS have full 230/240, that just doesn't feel right to me. Even with aggro modifying you will eventually catch up unless you Goon backflip which directly cuts it in two. So it becomes apparent to me (most of)this raid doesn't have a clue how to play their jobs.
I think the least that could be done is after acquiring a skill, force an on screen prompt stating WHY the skill is useful(maybe not mid dungeon, wait til after) so at least they'll know without having to dig around. And maybe say total potency for dots. When I was new I didn't even use dots bc I thought they were weak but after I saw total damage I realized they're actually super useful.

This has happened to me so much. There is a ridiculous amount of healers like this in the game ><. What's worse is people don't realise there are healers like this and give these people commendations...I was in this trial and this boss has phase where he only does damage to the tank, so I pop a regen and go back in Cleric Stance and help the team with doing damage. I keep a eye on my co-healer and see that he is not in Cleric Stance, which to me means that he will not do damage. Boss damages tank and the tank reaches 70% HP, I think to myself that the healer will probably heal the tank when his HP is much lower. Tank HP reach 50%, I start to get worried, Tank HP reaches 30%, I get out of Cleric Stance and heal the tank. My co-healer was doing nothing during that phase, only looking at the boss.

Steps is a bit of it's own category because of how the fight is presented; it's misleading at worst with the npc dialogue/instructions, it takes 10 minutes for a wipe (which is inevitable if you've missed dragonkillers and your party isn't over geared, the latter being very likely since it's a MSQ trial)
This and madpoor keep had the problem of it being relatively overturn in comparison to the other dungeons. It was high demand for the same reward, which at that point wasn't optimal. From what I hear anywy.
So, in other words they didn't meet the games cruise control standards.
Didn't read through 10 pages but...let's think about this situation:
What about when the person is still getting used to the level 60 rotations?
For example, my BLM just hit 60 yesterday. I already had stored up IL230 gear to equip as soon as I got to 60. So when I hit 60, a TON of new dungeons opened up for me.
But as anyone who has played BLM knows, the 60 rotation is vastly different from 1-59, you've got Fire IV now and need to manage it together with Enochain and Blizzard IV.
Plus, BLM is my first DPS class. Even in other MMORPGs, I almost exclusively played a healer.
Before going into any level 60 dungeons, I practiced the rotation like crazy on a Practice Dummy. I tried my best to memorize the hotkey locations so I wouldn't have to look when I went into the dungeon. (had to arrange them due to the new rotations.)
I practice my openers, single target rotations, AoE rotations...
The first 60 dungeon I went into with BLM was today. 2 FC members and a random person.
I did my absolute best, putting to use everything I had learned until now plus what I had practiced yesterday.
Still, no amount of practice on a target dummy could prepare me for the dungeon: a real life situation.
I was able to do my rotations fairly well, but not perfectly. I lost my Enochain when I had to dodge an AoE, and I didn't account for the level sync(even though it was a 60 dungeon), so I had to adjust my rotation.
I got nervous and forgot the hotkeys and needed to look at the hotbar, and got hit by some AoEs without noticing (but didn't die, thankfully).
I felt like I gave 110%. I worked very hard preparing for the dungeon and did my absolute best I could. I never slacked off. I plan to keep improving.
But the fact of the matter is, despite my effort and preparation, I didn't perform as well as a veteran BLM could have. Someone who didn't know it was my first 60 dungeon as a BLM could have thought I wasn't carrying my own weight.
But by golly I prepared the best I could and put forth as much effort as possible in my first dungeon.
