They didn't say an outfit designed for male/female. They separated the two. It's two separate outfits, like what we've been getting with the falconer shirts, the explorers tabard and the coat that the males get. Instead of unisex it appears that SE is sticking with releasing two outfits, one for each gender.

Yeah, I actually can read. I assumed that other people who can would understand 'designed for male/female' as a logical abbreviation of 'an outfit designed for males and (represented here by the slash) an outfit designed for females', sorry. D=

My point is that while 'designed for' could mean the item is locked to that gender, it doesn't necessarily, especially considering the various other ways they could have phrased the statement to nake it completely unambiguous.

I'm not saying I don't expect the items to be locked, I'm just saying I'm hopeful.

Maybe I'm using it wrong but I use a/b to mean interchangeable. As much as you can hope, I'm going to say that based on the precedent that SE is setting with the other glamour items, and now the Maid and Butler attire, that it is unlikely they will be able to be equipped by both genders.

Knowing SE, they will use outfits that are linked to the FFX minions or a outfit that is linked to to FF12 (remake) or FF7 (remake). Afcourse those outfits could also be orginal designs.

Or it could be linked to something not FF. Think about why they are making it secret. It could be just for hype, or it could be because they are tying it to a release of some new game maybe.
