    Free Company tax?

There is a glut of Free Companies with 10 or fewer members, with nearly 350 of those having only one member (On Jenova alone!). Is there a system currently in place to clean up this mess? Perhaps we could have a recurring tax on credits each month?

RMT bots make gibberish named free companies. They'll always be able to afford the fees since they've got plenty of gil. Not sure if a tax would fix things.

Oops you said free company credits, not gil. Hmm can rmt bots earn those by doing what they do? If not then your plan could work.,

Is there any particular reason this bothers you? I mean really it doesn't affect you or your gameplay at all.....unless you're searching for a new FC, I guess.

So people are not allowed to have a guild of their own? I find that stupid.

Who are you to judge about others how big a guild has to be?

I'm content with my single person guild, I'm not looking for new members but if anyone asks, I would let them join.

So please take your judgement of how big a guild should be and throw it into the trash bin. Thanks.

Yes there should be a tax and the OP should be paying it for everyone. TYSM.

Of all the things that could affect the OP, this is not one of them. The number of FCs and the amount of people in them has absolutely zero bearing on anything at all. If anything, these tiny FCs have it harder already because they have to outsource all their Airship progress stuff, on top of piling more work on fewer members to accomplish the same tasks as larger FCs.

    So....-why-?

That would only be one of those things that are supposed to help against RMT but are actually just annoying for everyone else. Sure you could pay that with a big fc, but they are not a thing for me, so I'm in a two-player fc. We don't even have a house we'd take away from anyone. And the RMT bot fcs tend to be pretty big, I'm sure they farm a lot of credits, just look at the ones making deliveries to the grand companies that just plop in and out every now and then. They could easily pay, while me and my friend would already have our problems keeping that up when we don't play actively.

I just saw you didn't even mention RMT guilds. If you just want everyone to be in a guild with 50 other people at least I have no words for you anyway...

Why does it matter to you who owns a FC or how many players in it....I know plenty of people who own small FCs less than 10 members because they just keep their FC for close friends. It has nothing to do with you nor does it affect your game experience. You are still free to find a large FC to join.

Like really I am at a loss for why you think this affects you in some way. Adding a tax will just hurt small FC's even though they may be happy with fewer members.

Some players like a large FC for a lot of talk and more players to play with. Some players like smaller FC environments where it is less noisy and more of a tight knit group that doesn't just invite anyone and everyone into their ranks. It's better to cater to both player types; instead of forcing FC's to bloat their ranks just so they don't get penalized.

So How do small FC's effect you or anyone else? This is a very very very weird request..........

At its roots, the purpose of a Free Company is a group of players working toward a common goal. The Free Company creation process includes getting signatures from other players that end up becoming members. That right there shows that this system was never meant for one person. I didn't even touch on the Free Companies that have gone inactive, tying up that particular name. I could only imagine the frustration of someone trying to register their favorite Free Company name and then finding out it has been taken and that company not active for six months or more.
