Most of the time when I've gotten Ex Primals in mentor Roulette they ended in failure.
However, I wouldn't call them wastes of time because I did see the new players improve quite a bit. I don't mind staying for the full time so long as the group wants to keep trying.

Honestly in my experience most new players in Extreme Primals haven't done any research and don't realize they're a huge step up from HM.
I can't really blame them. The story and HM modes get stomped into the ground by overgeared players these days, new players have no reason to expect Ex to be any different.

Trying to get my Wiping City in before reset. After many deaths, a few rejected abandoned duties, and half of the alliance replaced, we did it with 20 minutes to spare. (Then I proceeded to NQ an Ironworks Ring of Crafting at 93%. ._.) Mondays, I tell ya.

Just got Titan Normal in leveling roulette.
Had a first-timer too.

Everything was going great. Until...somehow I got hit by the push back ability at the VERY end and fell to my death.
I never thought that day would come again.

And in the end I got all 3 comms.

I went MSQ as AST, just before going to bed. It's Praetorium. At this point, I'm almost falling asleep at my keyboard, but it's my last roulette, so I'm pushing it out.

That said, I'm still conscious enough to notice that we have a new person in the party, which would be fine, if said new person wasn't an arcanist with 2.2k HP. And if they weren't "using" Topaz Carbuncle for some inexplicable reason. And maybe if they actually did something useful, instead of standing around next to the lift, watching as everyone else kills the trash, without lifting a finger to help.

I try to ask why they're an arcanist at level 50. All I got in response was "yes?". I decide it's not worth it and drop the matter. As the run goes on, I'm getting more and more annoyed due to lack of sleep, constantly drawing nothing but Ewers and Spires, and the other AST overwriting my hard-won AoE Balance with AoE Spear. At Nero, I snap and just give up. I'm not going to bother trying my best as I usually do, I'll just half-ass everything with AoE heals. Oh, look, the other AST gave us AoE Arrow? Nah, screw that, AoE Ewer for EVERYONE! Who DOESN'T need MP?!

At the Ultima Weapon, I'm actually afraid we wouldn't make the DPS check, so I start DPSing. The other AST seems happy enough to just stay out of Cleric Stance and throw out heals. The ACN dies multiple times, still using Topaz Carbuncle as if that will protect them from the AoEs that killed them, but whatever, I refuse to waste MP ressing a completely useless player. The other AST picks them up anyway, 3-4 times in total.

So at the end, for playing AST with all the intelligence of a tree, I still get a comm. I'm not really sure why, and I don't really care, but I suppose it says something that an AST who overwrites cards with an Ewer can still get a comm.

Everytime I see a Summoner/Arcanist underperforming to a ridiculous degree it makes me ache inside. I'm nowhere near the best summoner but I'd like to think I'm decent...

I was salty earlier in here but I actually have a cool story. I played wiping city for the first time. it actually went really well. at 2nd boss there was a point where my alliance was the only one left alive. 8 ppl verses a raid boss and we held it for a solid minute while our healers healed us and raised other alliance healers so they could lb3

it was mega exciting learning mechanics on the fly

A while back I queued up for The Sunken Temple of Qarn when I was leveling my Archer. The PLD tank would only use shield lob as his attack and spoke only Spanish.

We managed to beat the first boss, but booted him since he couldn't keep aggro and was trolling.

Ran the Sasha dungeon on my paladin recently. I thought I was playing WoW again, people pulling for me, not attacking my target, the works. Not to mention the 4-5 Flashes I cast, and still get aggro pulled off me. Ran out of MP 2-3 times during that run (it's either Savage Blade or Riot Blade, I can't do both), so the other 3 got to do some tanking as well. And at the end of it all I ended up with 3 commendations out of it. People are strange. :\
