While we'd always like to believe in sarcasm, there's overwhelming evidence in this community that you could have been completely serious. After all, we have people asking for 8 clears for Nidhogg EX on the first day and people getting mad at others for not knowing dungeon mechanics after one day....its far too common an occurance.

Had the most unbelievable Cutter's Cry group ever. It has been a long time since I had this kind of group.

Even though I selected only ONE language setting in the contents finder, I somehow got paired up with people who didn't understand said language. (Can't say which languages because rules.)
I don't know why they would queue up for a language they can't understand. Boggles the mind. ANYWAY...

Tank was the worst. Didn't pick up adds, ever. Kept going /afk for about 1 minute. Not really long enough to warrant a kick, but frequently enough that it was really taking forever to finish the dungeon.
When one mob would die, the tank wouldn't switch to the other mob. Just stand there.
I tried /poke ing him to make him move, but very slow response.
Tank made no attempt to dodge any gimmicks. Hit by everything.

Whenever the tank received an item, he would stop to desynthesize it. Who does this in the middle of a dungeon? I've never seen such an action!

Other DPS were very low damage output. First boss took forever. Princess spawned minions twice. All came at me. Tank has no response at all.
DPS tried to help, but the damage output was so low things were taking forever to die.
DPS continually got hit by the sand bursts and whatnot.

Final boss all 3 were getting hit by everything. Paralysis, Heavy, Esuna Esuna Esuna!
Tank is hit by EVERY single attack. One DPS has level 1 accessories, so dies instantly. Instead of waiting for Raise, returns to the beginning and tries to run back. Dies on the way.
Other DPS almost died several times from being hit by gimmicks. I used Shroud of Saints twice and still almost ran out of MP (had about 300 left at the end of the fight).

I just didn't know what to say at the end. So I just /shrug ed and left. I still got comms though so I guess they at least appreciated SOMEONE was doing their job.

That one bolded line is why its hard to tell the difference sometimes between serious and sarcasm.

Leveling roulette on my monk, normal mode Garuda. Thought it'd be quick and easy, but nope... PLD either didn't have shield oath or didn't care to use it, even when asked. I pulled hate before I got a chance to use any cooldowns or put up any dots. Switched to fists of earth, did the basic combo because I have no enmity cutting/reducing skill, tank can't get her off me. Even when I went after adds both times they spawned I was still tanking her. I finally die, get a raise, while I get up Garuda flies off to do her ultimate. There's a good 8 seconds of standing around but the AST couldn't be bothered tossing any heals at me during that time so I died again, and stayed dead for the rest of the fight.

Had some awesome roulettes yesterday on my AST. Expert roulette led me to Sohr Khai with an old friend I know from my time on Odin - I was so happy to see a familiar face! Grinned all dungeon long and threw basically all my cards to him - most amazing part was the final boss, my friend was on bard and sang Foes for the BLM and me, and I drew enough Ewers to keep him singing for the entirety of the fight

After the fight, when BLM and tank were gone, he asked me if I was interested in doing 60 roulette with him and that he wanted to invite me after we left the duty - for some reason he didn't realize that I left Odin two months ago ^^'

In Antitower via 60 roulette I got paired with an awesome warrior who pulled in Defiance, then immediately switched to Deliverance and managed to perfectly keep aggro and barely ever had to get healed (seriously, I've never seen this before), and an awesome bard who was singing Foes during every pull and exclusively for me as the other DPS was a monk. Well, can a DPS-healer be happier? I guess not, I felt like in paradise and Gravity-spammed the hell outta the mobs until my mana pool said goodbye - but whatever, the warrior was happy with an Aspected Benefic and some Essential Dignity every now and then.

At the last trash before the final boss I almost let the warrior die, but I hit the Essential Dignity just in time and then apologized because it was quite the close call, they said "nobody died, it's all fine!". Then at the final boss, they started in Deliverance to kill the dolls and didn't switch to Defiance to grab the boss when it spawned, so the bard ended up getting aggro and eventually oneshot by the tankbuster - we had quite the good laugh about it

Landed in Amdapor Keep NM as an AST, for level 50 roulette. Tank is a DRK with... roughly 6.1k HP. As an AST, I have about 5k. Tank admits it's their first time tanking this dungeon.

Fair enough, I don't mind healing someone who's willing to admit to this. It shows basic courtesy. Except that they forgot to put on Darkside and Grit before pulling. I remind them, they put it on. Fine, I can still heal everyone easily enough.

A few pulls down the hall, things aren't getting much better. I wasn't paying attention to what the DPS, which are DRG/BLM, are doing. I should have, really. DRK runs out of MP, refuses to use Blood Price even in the middle of a large pull. Again, I remind them. Even though at level 50 they should know how to use Blood Price, for the love of gods.

Things are going slowly because the DRK won't pull more than 1 group at a time, but since they have 6.1k HP, I won't begrudge them that. We slowly make our way to the first boss. While we're fighting the group just before the first boss, the BLM goes wandering off to the side, out of my sight. I'm not entirely sure what they're doing, but I focus on fighting.

Just as the DRK pulls the first boss, the BLM picks up an item, and comes running back to us with a group of mobs in tow. I let them die, hoping that it will make the trash go away. Nope.

So begins my exact observation of what these DPS are actually doing. Or rather, not-doing, since the DRG had no Heavy Thrust buff on the entire time I saw, and the BLM, despite being level 60, was constantly casting Fire or Blizzard while in Umbral Ice III or Astral Fire III, respectively, completely ignoring Firestarter procs, and generally being as slow as possible without going complete Umbral/Scathe maging.

Incredulous, I point out what they're doing, and ask if they're just trolling. No response, not that I really expected any. The first boss took forever to die, and it was easy enough to heal through it. So I had a lot of time to think about what I would do.

Was I going to stick it out, and carry this entire godforsaken party to the end? I could very easily do it, I knew. But did I really want to end up carrying everyone? Carrying DPS who can't play their jobs at level 60?

The answer, quite simply, was no. Hell no. And so right after the boss died, without even waiting for the treasure chest to be opened, I left, eating a penalty, with no regrets whatsoever.

During my last Stone Vigil NM I had a level 58 drk who was really happy to have gotten it. Which confused me. He admitted to having major tank anxiety and over the course of the run I noticed something.

He was not using any cooldowns. So I reminded him of that and he started using cooldowns. Sorta.

Over the course of the run I further noticed that he would get really low on MP, in fact he would turn darkside off unless facing a boss to let his MP come back.

So I proceed schooling him on the basics of drk tanking play in between Benefic II casts. Blood Price usage while stacking it with damage reduction defensive cooldowns, defensive dark arts combos (Dark Arts Dark Dance combined with Dark Arts Dark Passenger for evasion tanking), when not to use Dark Dance, what Dark Mind does. Turns out he never really read his skill tooltips. By the end of the run his play improved by a good margin. Now that he actually knew what a good portion of his skills did. I included a bit of info about his upcoming skill.

Thankfully he was just durable enough from sheer armor value (due to being decked out in 56-58 dungeon gear) that I could have the leisure to heal, card mechanics, and explain at the same time. I got 2 commendations out of it and him thanking me for all the tips.

No one has hurt me yet :P I avoid savage like the plague, but given the nature of this community at times it was genuinely hard to discern :3
