Solo leveling is broken.

I was thrilled to see how the patch would affect the game. New content, quests, everything was really nice! I'm enjoying it alot. However, I got "distracted" by all this fun to ignore levelling my gladiator from 49 to 50 because I had so much other stuff to do. So..

Today I went to do the leves I had had for a while in my journal book. Oh, I got just in time to do a behest, I thought, heh, what the heck, a quick 4,4k SP right there. So I got to be alone in the behest, no one else was with me. That's when the fun started. Monsters were around my level, it takes +1-2 minutes to defeat a single monster of my own level. All in all, when I did finish the behest, I had 3 minutes and 30 seconds left on the timer.

That's nearly the duration of the whole behest, being 20 ish minutes or so. What did I get? 3,3k SP as a reward. Over 1k less than before the patch and further more, defeating behest taking nearly 15 minutes longer than it did before. Sure you get more SP from the monsters, but it still does not make up for the timesink it creates. I had fun before defeating enemies in a swift manner, now it takes a lot more time.

Sure ok.. I thought maybe the behest mobs were just harder than the leve mobs now, so I went in and took a levequest. Stuff that I was able to rank 5 stars before. R40 leve as a R49 right, shouldn't be a hard thing. Ranking 5 stars pulled the mobs to 2-3 levels above me. I got 3 mobs on me at once, I couldn't even kill them without nearly dying. By the time I finished the leve as 5 stars, I had around 8 minutes left on the timer. Just for reference, to get the bonus from a levequest, you have to defeat it before the 23 minute mark. So.. then I just simply had to drop my levequest difficulty to 1 star, and even doing so, having the mobs nearly 10 levels BELOW me, I could manage to defeat the mobs to around 24 minutes, leaving me a minute spare time.

I can understand that they wanted to enforce partying exp, but the change just killed soloing completely. Personally, I'd like to see a melee class, doesn't matter which one, defeat those leves without any healing abilities whatsoever. It'd be impossible. Even with R50 conjurer and R50 thaumaturge spells, I had hard time not getting killed on a R40 leve as a R49 gladiator.

To make a summary of this.. stuff that used to be done in 5 minutes, now takes 20 minutes instead, with the same rewards. Doing leves is pointless now, when comparing to exp parties. In one of my LS'ses today I read that people had got from R45 to 50, in less than 5 hours. Getting over 400k SP during that time. I can't see this happening with leves anymore or people who like to solo.

This is quite a serious issue in my opinion, what do you think?

Is there something wrong with posting these related topics in ONE THREAD! my god its a page full of repeated threads whining.

I don't mean to belittle your opinion but there is just as many threads stating they are getting better sp. Is one person more wrong then the other who knows, what i can tell you is give the patch time to settle before you start QQ'ing at least.

They may even adjust things in .a O.o

If you'd actually read my post with a thought, you'd notice that I'm mostly talking about the time that you have to invest in doing these things in comparison to the time you used on them before to get a better reward. Sometimes I even wonder why the hell do I even want to say any critisism about this game, when there are patriots like you who rush in and point out at people flaming them as "whiners" or "QQ:ers" when they're just respectively stating their opinion about a matter or another. And about your comment to the "really another one.." This just proves the point that I'm not alone with this opinion and something should be done about this. To post your opinion in a thread that has hundreds of replies, it just gets lost without hardly anyone probably even reading it, is the only reason why I wanted to make a post of my own.

However sometimes, it just feels like it doesn't matter what people say here on these forums. SE won't hear them anyways. Same thing was said when MP cost on heals were made 4 times more than before. People were like "oh yea, SE makes mistakes, it'll probably be fixed in the next patch" Well, it didn't, and it will not get fixed. Still having cures cost that much MP is absurd, especially now when killing stuff is a lot harder.

I agree. It has become hard to solo..
And also SE should not be forcing people to play in party's..
Not everyone loves to follow 1 leader around to where he wants to go.
I rather solo and go where i want to go.

Oh.. challenge? really? Damn...

The only thing i really dislike from the patch is that we get the same amount of SP in leves than we had pre 1.18. As in 600 SP a kill + The Bonus at the End. So People will tend to do leves again, instead of doing Parties. Its still doable tho. I finished my Archer yesterday on 5 star'ing leves. Was rough but doable and finally i had to think of what i do, instead of one-shotting Stuff.

It's not harder to solo, it's just that anything got the worded "Dated" sucks compared to the new Shiny Stuff. Unless you have full Darkhold gears, you will be much less effective. This is even more apparent for DoW because you rely on Equipment to be effective a lot more than DoM. SE sneakily "wiped" your progression and make you start from scratch in term of gears.

And you can still oneshot stuff around your level, if you know how.

<_< 5 Star leves means the Mobs are +12 Ranks and no you cant oneshot them due Arc-Nerf. Im fine with it tho, i like the changes about it.

Yes you can, for certain mobs at certain level. Even after the change, some mobs do have much less Hp than others.

Crafters are not working hard enough.. Wards are empty or way overpriced.. lolz

No, Gatherers are not working hard enough. I put up stuff for cheap (mostly spear) and they are gone in an hour.
