The Ozma battle in the Weeping City is one of the best fight I've ever done in FFXIv. I hope it never gets nerfed.

Adding into this. I'm pleased at the overall difficulty. I took a bit of a break during 3.2 to work on other games because... well the game got boring. When you can easily get through most things(still haven't gotten that seph ex clear or thordan ex clear.... or any savage stuff which I won't touch with a ten foot pole) and those you can't don't have people willing to help for a clear(I do know the mechs for them), it gets boring quickly. I got all the rolls I wanted very quickly and there wasn't much left for me to do. This is something that will keep me coming back.

People are confusing basic mechanics with some skill requirement... All Ozma takes is movement and some positioning but nothing else, hell even the dps check is incredibly forgiving. It's not like it requires perfect rotations, tank swaps, kill orders etc.
If people claim their "skill ceiling" cannot cope with moving their character then I lack sympathy for them and is exactly why bosses like Ozma need to be in the game.

Actually Yoshida commented on that yesterday, he said that they undertuned VA and because it was too easy the players weren't quite ready for something harder. Or something to that extent.
ya he is a important, much needed lesson alright.
at why people hate geometry.

Which is exactly as it should be. If you can't handle dodging some mechanics and knowing a basic rotation for the job you've chosen, then you shouldn't get an easy clear, or frankly, one at all.

The fact that people consider Ozma "hard" or "challenging" is concerning in itself. Weeping city is still faceroll if you're able to tell left from right and can hit buttons. If anything I feel that all content needs to be a bit harder in order to have the playerbase adapt and actually learn how to play their roles
Good grief, I'm not askin gfor a nerf and don't think it needs to be nerfed. But saying it's faceroll for everyone is false and wrong. I find it easy after understanding everything but that doesn't mean others will. Hell that's like me going to people who play dark souls and telling them they suck cause Devil may cry 3 - the first version- is a harder game and they suck for not being able to play it past the first boss. Everyone has different skill levels and sadly people must see this. Otherwise you'll just look like some elitist asshole :c

The challenge is actually getting the entire alliance to work together, and Weeping City focuses on that more so than ever. The fact that people consider Ozma "hard" or "challenging" is concerning in itself. Yeah they do but if you cannot get past a boss on "normal" mode (if we are using difficulty settings as a measure) you do not ask for it to be changed into the easy mode version and you simply do not beat the boss. It's not rocket science and this is a game like any other. This is not comparing two seperate games either this is someone on DkS saying that the bosses are too hard and need adjusting to their "playstyle".Good grief, I'm not askin gfor a nerf and don't think it needs to be nerfed. It's not at all elitist to say if someone stuggles constantly with very basic mechanics they need to improve because it's nothing to do with their skill level and its down to sheer unwillingness (due to some arbitary measure they have set themselves) to even try to learn the basics. If you do know the basic mechanics then he's right the boss is very easy... The difficulty comes from hoping someone else doesn't get you killed.
Ozma is not a measure of skill it's a measure of common sense, like when someone says "go left" 3 times before the fight and then someone contiunes to head right... That person probably will find it difficult but then who's fault is that?
