Not sure that a pre-requisite for one thing reminding you of another is for the other to be the first of its kind.
Person A: Ah, your funny, you remind me of my friend Jim!
Person B: Jim wasn't the first guy to be funny, idiot.
It reminds me of Lufia. It
had a 100 floor randomized dungeon and you also started at level 1. Blue chest items could be carried in and out of the dungeon.

......PERSONA!!!

No, I thought of Devil May Cry's Bloody Palace mode where you fight floors of enemies with a boss fight every so often, because I don't associate this game with a mediocre anime about a Gary Stu who lives out every nerd's wet dream which inspires horrible name choices in the NA and EU servers.
If you want an anime with a universe similar to FFXIV or WoW, watch Log Horizon.
That said, I doubt a lot of SAO fans will manage to solo it.

SAO was trash, get at me.
Personally reminds me of the Forest of Death from dot.hack//GU. In lore, an endless dungeon only one person's ever beaten, but in gameplay, a 100-room dungeon where the last 50 floors have to be marathonned...to fight the God of Death at the very end. Fun dungeon!

Actually brings me nostalgia of those Endless Tower weekly runs in RO.

I was just pointing out that the deep dungeon doesn't have to based on SAO :P
Actually, I do remember few posts asking for such content, so it would be a really nice surprise if it were based on the player requests.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
