ThisAgreed. I'm really tired of challenge being about time spent. You can have challenge without having activities that are long and tedious, and you can also have long tedious activities that have no real challenge other than time. SE has a way of implementing the latter most often. However, I'm optimistic SE will do something about it, because if they don't the game will flop on PS3 release, and I'm pretty sure this game cannot sustain another poor release. If PS3 release fails, this game fails.

I could, but then that's a bull-s*** solution for a bull-s*** problem. Why would anyone have to rely on high level players to get through the low levels? What about people that DON'T have high level friends? Why is it so difficult to start parties at the lower levels (hint: lack of fun and/or party content)?
Agree with pretty much all of this. The current leveling system equals simulated content, whereas stuff like the new Ifrit instance is actual content. I'm wondering if Guild Wars 2 releasing down the road will be the death of this game, as the content and leveling is nearly antithesis of this.
They put up with levelling because they want the game to be around for years, and developers have convinced them that the only way to do that is to stretch things out for as long as possible. This way, the developer can divide its content up between different level ranges, rather than having it scale dynamically with the individual.
In reality, the levelling process should be a natural thing, to the point where you almost don't realize that it's happening. Instead, you sit in front of your screen with your eyes fixated on your experience bar, and the game makes every attempt to remind you that, yes, you are level 16, and no, you can't wear that bitchin' armor made from the body of a demon and shoots lasers from the pauldrons; that armor's for good little boys and girls who can endure 50 levels worth of the same repetitive tasks over and over again.
you cant one or 2 shot mobs anymore, the game needed to be harder. you dont have max out stats in all the slots from a lv50 physical level. exp is better per kill 200xp with a mob the same level as you. no more 10+ mobs or lv99 mob partys.
this was a good change now future stuff wont be breezed through in a day

It would be magical if the people on Rabanaster actually spoke to one another outside of their LS's. NOBODY talks. I've tried forming PT's, I've tried asking about active LS's, I've tried just making conversation with people. I try asking if people would like to PT after a behest. People act like NPC's. I've never played an MMO where people were so reluctant to socialize. EVE Online, a game full of paranoid cruelty, where speaking in local can get you killed, is livelier and more social. This MMO feels devoid of life.
