Unable to download patch files [30413][25008][20495]

GUYS! I might've found a solution to this:

-set your IP manually
-change your MTU(i changed mine from 1500 to 1450)

Thanks for the info Thorfinn unfortunately it did not work for me, so I am down to the last resort a full delete of the game and full reinstall at .22MB download fml. If this fails at the same point I will close my account and wash my hands of this mess. Love the game but its not worth bashing my head into a wall for weeks if not months...

OK, if you guys are on PS4, I can offer some suggestions.

This happened to me every single patch since 3.1, either the patch updater is totally buggy or its the internet connection restricting full access to the FFIXIV server. Either way, Development Team, please look into this as it is happening more and more often to more people.

Anyway, this is what I did on my PS4 this time around:

Set the IP address that goes to your PS4 to a fixed on so it gets the same one every time. I am not an expert but I think the FF servers are more willing to connect to IP addresses it has connected to before... maybe. :P
Open up your router/modem control page by using the right IP address on your browser. (Use google for this, it changes between routers)
Find and open all the ports the PS4 uses in order to grant it more freedom of connection. Again, use google for this. One of the ports is port 80, there should be 4 or 5 more. Do not put it to DMZ (demilitarized zone?) not a good idea.
Open them and assign them to your PS4.
That fixed it for me this time. There are videos in YouTube that can help, give google a whirl.

All the other times the solution was wait between 2 to 8 hours until the internet and/or servers realized they were screwing up big time. x_x

My issue cleared up, it seems the most recent patch (Wednesday night) seemed to have fixed it.

Now I just have to restore all the settings I wiped out. >.<
