I wanna say big thank you to everyone that gave me advice in here. I was able to reach 1,659,569 Gill yeasterday. Thank you so much gonna continue using the great advice I was given.

I deleted the Original post, why? because even with me stating at the end a few days ago "edited I want to say thank you". People were still more focused on my rant and the negative stuff when leaving comments. O well that's life on the forums.

Houses are not that expensive, they actually gone down in price a lot. A small house is almost dirt cheap as 3.7 million is very easy to make in the game. If person has crafting/gathering leveled up could make that in a month with little effort or less them a week with effort.

I still haven't found reliable way to make Gil myself, so I'm usually making several million during launch week and then live with it until next patch. Tho, I'm happy that now I can very easily level-up my crafting jobs to 60 with Moogle daily-quests.. before I was scared about the high cost/effort of going from 50 to 60.

Had 6.5 million before patch day, managed to grab myself 5th grade house and dropped to 2.4 million.. and now I'm back to 4 million.

I am in agreeance that housing itself is not really that expensive but I find that this is beyond the point.

Housing needs to be available to all players and not the handfull who are allowed to get a open plot. Personal Housing needs to be a seperate system from Company housing it's how it always should have been and seemed to be on course to be until someone flipped a switch and decided this was the "Easier" way to implement the system that has now cost them god knows how much money trying to rectify and bandaid the terrible system they now insist on keeping in place.

Dirt cheap 3.7 mil that is expensive not dirt cheap and not everyone has the focus to get all garthering/crafting to level 60. My highest crafting is cooking, can't spell the game term for it, and that's only at level 45. Just getting to level 45 was a chore in its self. I made the money I have so far from manly that crafting job. No matter what Small should be free. Why you have to by them makes no sense to me at all.

Step 1: Level WVR/GSM/LTW/ARM with levequests to 50 (if you have a full time job and no time to play, you likely have 100 allowances).
Step 2: Make your retainers get you glamour crystal materials.
Step 3: Make and sell glamour crystals.
Step 4: Profit.

During busy times like these the prices can go up to 20k per piece if demand is not met for a certain type of crystal. Check sales on login, logout and between dungeons. You can also sell emperor's new gear (buy from mor dhona). When you have more money, buy mats and craft some lvl 50 (and below) housing items, level 50 relic weapon bases and glamour. They are going like beer in a pool party atm. Another steady source of income is low level leve items in HQ and crafting quest items.

I made about 10 mil in the 2 weeks before patch because I decided to buy a medium house and I can tell you 4 mil does not require any crafters at 60, high quality crafting, gathering or mass production of items. It may require you to level crafting a little though.

You can literally earn Gil hand over fist if you do just about anything. Fight the Primals for their material drops, sell them on the Market Board. Do coils and sell the High Allagan tomestones. Buy materials with Esoterics and put those on the Market Board. Send your retainer out on Ventures, quick or otherwise, sell that stuff on the Market Board. Literally they're throwing Gil at you just for playing the game through the Challenge Log. 3 million is extremely cheap. Housing is a feature you're complaining about because you don't have it. The system currently sucks because it is limited in supply, not because of price. Your primary problem is that you somehow don't know how to make Gil. Ask for suggestions and solutions instead of whining. It works wonders.

Is it through dungeons only? And how long have you been saving for a house? Also keep in mind Ishgard apartments are coming in 3.4

c'mon it's 'culinarian' -- just a fancy word for cook.

I actually only have the single crafter leveled up (CUL) and specifically avoided most of the 'omni-crafter' focused advice and made my own path. It's surprisingly easy to find niches that are profitable as you're leveling. Try taking a look at the Leves from 10-50 and you might be surprised to see how much money you can make from the turn-in rewards alone, let alone by selling the item rewards you can get. Gathering is the same way, this game has a big trade-off (in my opinion) between really fast but gil-intensive leveling options, and slower casual ones that can end up generating a lot of money in the long term.

Purely battle class characters can make plenty of money themselves. You are just blind to the avenues available to you, available to everyone is the two free retainers and even as battle classes they can litteraly generate money hand over fist for you without lifting a finger.
