Living in the U.S east coast, I didn't have a chance to buy a house at all. By the time I finished the download and logged in at 6am in Faerie, everything was gone. I wish some kind of auctioning system was also implemented. At least this gives players a chance to bid on a property rather than letting the night owls buy everything.

I can confirm that it was gone within 5 minutes. I was extremely lucky to get mine.

Same happened on balmung. And most of the plots were apparently bought by a single FC who are flipping them for 50mil+ just for the smalls.

What a collossal shitshow.

You could say we already do have an auction system in place, in the form of a dutch auction. It just that there are far too many people that have the money and are willing to pay the starting price for that to work. Made of course even worse by reducing the housing prices when there is more gil circulating.

Yea SE does stuff backwards, people have more gil but they lower the prices of housing, if anything they should of doubled the cost of housing not cut it almost in half.

I knew the houses were gonna go quickly. What I truly find astonishing is how many people sat in party finder after acquiring one gloating how they got a house, causing server wide salt and jealously deliberately. So many messages of, "I got house! You mad bro?", "I got a house! PC Master Race!", and even "I got a house! Come hate me!".

All these people who logged in multiple accounts just to buy up as much housing as they could with the intention of reselling it should have all associated acounts banned, and the plots removed from them.
