Some people simply fail to realize that many of us actually have something called "jobs" that allow us to pay for our subscriptions. I could only just flag the fight before having to get ready for work this morning.

It's a lot to ask for, but it's not something you or I should be concerned with yet. There will be plenty of help. Some people play because they have different shifts or classes..while others actually take sick days...then there's people who just live at home..or time differences.
Our best bet is to just put up our own things and attempt to get through it with people who play at our pace for whatever reason that might be. I remember when Alexander came out, I went to work at 7 and came out of the server room at 12 / 1 picked up my phone and get texts from my friend about how far people have gotten. It's good though, they pay just like I do so there's always a common ground to meet on. They will be able to put guides up for me then after I go through a blind run or two!

I haven't even logged in yet (busy adulting ATM) but I am aiming to finish the story tonight and I do want a taste of EX. Though I imagine as per usual in Hyperion, they won't let me in a PF unless I've cleared and "no bonus" and know the fight like the back of my hand. Some of us weren't born awesome like others I guess?

I don't get why new Extreme trials aren't added to raid finder. That would actually be useful to the "midcore" population. We're right back where we've always been: can't practice in duty finder and have to rely on the whims of party finder.

I never understood these kind of threads, do you feel like someone asking for experience hinders your ability to set up your own learning party?
Even if someone feels like making a PF that says no roegadyns allowed, that's up to them, the whole point of PF is that you can set whatever rules you want and if people don't agree with them, they can just not join and make their own with just two or three clicks.
Some people however do have a life. FF is love, but not always life, js. Not everyone can grind literally all the content in 24 hours or less. Which is kind of stupid imo, cause then people bitch about being bored for the next 3 months or so, cause they finished everything in 1 day.
A few days, to a week is more reasonable imo.
But then again, I only got to play for 3 hours before heading off to my University, and won't be able to play until 10pm tonight, so I've not been able to dabble in Steps with everyone else D:
We're just gonna forget the whole divide the community thing aren't we.I never understood these kind of threads, do you feel like someone asking for experience hinders your ability to set up your own learning party?

What divide the community?
If you want to learn a fight you make or join a learning party.
If you're close to clearing you make or join a clearing party.
If you already handle all mechanics and you just want the weapons you make or join farm parties.
There's no reason for you to join a farm party if you're learning, the content is new and there are plenty of people who would join your learning group if you made one, you have no business in a farming party if you haven't cleared.
So, we're just gonna forget the whole respecting other people in the community thing, aren't we?

Yes, it does actually hinder it to an extent, players new to the content will feel overwhelmed to the content they want to run, because they will only find parties asking for people who have cleared or have it down on farm, happened to me and the majority of the playerbase whenever new hardcore content gets released. I know quite a few people who didn't get to do Sephirot EX until it was open to the Duty Finder because even on the first week, they could only find PF parties asking for people who have it down to farm. It gives the idea that everyone should know what is what by day one and that's just not healthy to the general masses.
