I just want to be a nuker. I don't care what it's called or how it's accomplished. Unfortunately the designers of this game don't seem to care about that particular archetype. It's making me miss my Black Mage and wistfully look back toward FFXI temptingly.

Interesting stuff . Would 'love' for a large variety of these to get implemented.

Glad to see I'm not the only one disappointed that XI never had Mystic Knight. Enspells just do not compare to the awesomeness of FFV's Spellblade. With the way this game is structured, they could make it a job that requires both GLA & CON perhaps? Sort of like how in FFT, you unlocked more advanced jobs by leveling others.


Geomancer would be cool as well, especially with the pretty graphics 14 has. Hopefully they would also have weather change the effects as well - or, and this may be going too far in terms of complexity, but they could even make so that using each skill in different terrain types can further alter the ability.

For example a water-based spell learned while at Sea, if used in the desert, could instead be a blast of super-hot steam doing water & wind(fire?) damage. Neat things like that.


FFTA's Assassin would be awesome too... though, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't Assassin found to be in the .dats since the Beta?

Gunner, Gunner, Gunner! I want a gun class in the game damnit! SE keeps teasing us with all these pistols in LL and gunblades carried by the Garleans. Heck you even get to hold one in the LL storyline! When will we get a chance to use it?!
