Really? It just made me hungry for burgers lol.Whoops. I hit delete instead of edit and then tabbed out.
Basically what Nekotee said. You only need to unlock glamor (which is a level 50 quest) to use it on that character, even if their other classes aren't 50+.
However the weapons and earrings are not glamored.
Also I think the glamor is quite funny, it made me laugh... in fear.
Lol, good point. That's what a get for looking at and responding about a Ronald McDonald lookalike so early in the morning. Never made it past the "what the?" reaction to the image.
I almost expect burger-like mnk weapon...
And stack fries instead of chakra
Can anyone enlighten me what is offensive about the McDonalds Clown? Did I miss something in the "Internet 101 to not offend anyone"?
I don't think offensive was meant in that way. I think the offense taken was from the context of someone gearing up in glamour items (instead of having the glamour applied properly) for group content. /shrug
I'd probably at least get a laugh out of it.
It used to be common for this to happen pre lvl 50.
That was my tank in Aurum Vale. See anything wrong? No? Well let me just point out what's wrong there for ya then :3
He was wearing Mythrite Goggles of Crafting, an Archaeoskin Jackcoat of Crafting, Auri Armguards, a pair of Archaeoskin Breeches of Crafting, and Auri Sandals. He was at least wearing a tank belt and accessories. He was level 60 for the record. Just why do people do things like this?
Basically they are trying to get the 100% spirit bond with crafting gear to turn into materia.I don't think it works well with gear higher than lvl 50 though so not sure why they'd be doing it.
Anyway if you catch a player like this again just kick them immediatly and report them if they refuse to put on their proper gear.
That's what I thought at first too but it still doesn't explain the hands and feet. Those are lvl 1 vanity items so no point to them besides looks. If he was sbing he'd just use the archaeornis ones. Possibly a case of "let's see how bad I can be before I can't stay alive"It used to be common for this to happen pre lvl 50.

Just had one terrible AV run.
First red flag: In-progress run, 20 minutes were already over, but the group hadn't even beaten the first boss yet.
Second red flag: While the tank seemed to be really decent and nice, the two DPs still haven't had their job crystal. Amazing.
Killing mobs took sooo long and was so painful to watch, since neither of the DPs seemed to know their class, judging by their constant using of Ice. Sometimes they even stood around for a while, doing absolutely nothing. Even as a scholar healing through the first two bosses were a pain in my lalabutt.
I didn't want to abaddon the group right away, mainly because I didn't want to leave the tank behind and maybe be able to give the two DPs some tips on how to handle their class. Right after I was telling them that they should really get their job crystal, my screen suddenly turned black - thank you, overheating laptop.
After a few minutes I was able to get back into the game, only to find out that the group hadn't kicked me yet. I apologized and told them what happend, smiled when the tank told me "You're carrying the whole group", started to type an answer - boom, disconnected from server.
Gah! Being horribly annoyed I decided not to rejoin again, because... nope. Not worth my time. Tank, if you're reading this, I'm so sorry, but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have come far at all.
As for the DPs, I'm actually pretty sure both of them were bots. They didn't look like the typical "pre made bots", like "creating a new character > choose hyur male > done", but they often started to run and cast at the same time and overall gave me the feeling that something wasn't right with them.
Probably doesn't know how to glamour so wears the actual pieces instead of glamouring them over the top of others. That's just my guess based on what I could see but I could be wrong. That's what I thought at first too but it still doesn't explain the hands and feet. I doubt they are spirit bonding and rather than kick immediately you should maybe ask why they are wearing them followed by explaining why they shouldn't be doing so. Should give them a chance to explain, maybe they just need helpful advice rather than acting jerky towards them straight away. Like if my theory is correct that the person shown didn't know you can achieve the same looks via glamours rather than wearing the specific gear then he or she might be glad to find out and willing to change into more appropriate gear safe in the knowledge that the game has a way of letting them keep the looks they want but using appropriate gear still. If they act like jerks despite giving them chance to explain, giving them advice and giving them chance to change their gear...then I think might be okay to kick.It used to be common for this to happen pre lvl 50.
