Estinien's Fate? [SPOILER discussion]

Just a wild guess:

We successfully separate Estinien from Nidhogg but then the Warrior of Darkness comes and finish Estinien off...
Telling you something about: "He does what you can not do..."
While possessed, Estinien was weakening Nidhogg and seeking for his own death by your hand, but now released Nidhogg is in full enrage as primal sucking up crystals to gain a physical body!

I hope we save Estinien, and I practically laughed at his turning into nidhogg in 3.0. My reasons for this stem from both enjoying my time away from the Scions(and being suspicious of their new outlook) while also agreeing with alphinuad's speech: I don't know what badassery people see in being the hand that kills Estinien, and Nidhogg certainly must be stopped. But killing him feels downright souless, like we, having tasted freedom in Ishgard, are now accepting to put friends on the pyre of destiny and servitude.

Of course, it could go that way anyway, but no matter the direction I want 3.3 to deeply affect the main character, enough for something unexpected either in sadness or fury.

I'd laugh and rage if we did manage to pluck out the eyes from estinien, thus saving him (for a time) he'll promptly end up getting possessed by Lahabrea ... assuming he might still be stuck within Nidhogg's eye according to some theories.

But really looking at the story. Aren't we really the helping the bad guys thou? (Ishguard) I mean I would mad af if people came to my land unannounced claiming this is there new home. Made peace with them only to be back stabbed when they kill me sister. Oh and then use MY EYES to gain power for over A THOUSAND YEARS!!! After recapping the story. I can see us as the "hero" of light anymore. Don't get me started on why even help them when they didn't lift a finger at the end of 1.23

You must have skimmed the details. 99% of Ishgard today have nothing to do with the Dragonsong War other than they are descendants of the people that fought in the beginning. The 1% was keeping the truth of the war a secret until Aymeric and the WOL blew the whole thing open and in order to actually end the war, other than killing Nidhogg who wants people to suffer for an eternity, both sides HAVE to come to some form of a peace agreement to stop any more senseless killing. By this point in time, the only dragons fighting are Nidhogg and his brood while the rest simply don't want anything to do with the war.

Or are you trying to RP as Nidhogg? Because you see to be pro Nidhogg and taking on the same views.

They were going for peace after they found out they were the ones started the whole mess. (Which Estinien did not believe mind you) Also why even have peace talks with dragons that are not attacking instead of the one this is attacking you (Nidhogg). That "peace" talk was stupid and pointless if both warring parties weren't invited.

Also more than 1% of Ishgard is involved in the war. Both sides took casualties in this war not just one side. And it hilarious that it took over a thousand years to find the truth. The people are so blind to not question why these dragons are attacking them?

Today's Ishgardians may not have a hand in started it but sure as hell perpetuated it till the truth came out and they just now started to talk about peace because they were slow losing.

Idk if I'm pro Nidhogg but if I was the warrior of light. I would treat them like they treated us in 1.23. (That's your problem to solve)

Well of course it took them that long to finally figure it out because the archbishop kept the truth a secret and lied to everyone on what really happened.

Now I'm thinking you're just trying to be an instigator for the giggles. Why do you think Ishgard citizens believed the Bishop and his crew after the dragons attacked? Do you honestly think the average citizen was "dumb" just because they didn't know the truth until it was blown open after a 3rd party decided to look into why things were the way they were? Was the people really as stupid as you think just because the story of "dragons shot first" was spun to make Ishgard look good?

Two reasons.

Firstly, the truth is something that the Ishgardians would find really hard to swallow. I mean its not like the truth was going to help them at all. Nidhogg wasn't suddenly going to change his mind if all of Ishgard just said sorry.

Secondly, while Nidhogg was in the mix the truth actually wouldn't have made a lot of difference except sap at the Morale of Ishgard's people. Its not like anyone alive in Ishgard actually was involved in the crime that Nidhogg is punishing them for. Ishgard has no choice in the war because Nidhogg has no intention of ever allowing peace. He is basically torturing families for things their forefathers did. Its like torturing a family for something their great grandfather did. Nidhogg is just being a bigot.
