You have a better chance to get a map if you mine/harvest nodes that don't have a chance to spawn other hiddens in them already, such as Hardsilver Ore and so on.

How do I know this? Use the +30% HQ skill when you get a node that gives +30% HQ chance (which should give you about 75% HQ chance), and if you manage to get 3 HQ items in a row, you can use Luck of the Mountaineer/Pioneer to uncover a map or Grade 5 Carbonized Matter for your last gather attempt. However, you can't use this trick on nodes that already have a hidden revealed, such as the aformentioned Hardsilver Ore.

Dear SE,

since there is new content we want to burn through asap and as often as possible, please nerf every step we'd have to do to get in. And make them stackable (so those no-gatherer-scrubs can get some even more inflated prices).

Also: If you consider that what we've seen in the presentation as 'average dps', maybe even nerf the enemies down.

Dragonskin are at about 100K on my server right now; forgot a zero and accidentally sold one earlier today for 110K :\

They are only about 20-35k on ours I think last time I checked and they are about 10-20k cheaper than Wyvern maps sometimes.

In regards to the OP/thread creator, the rate they are gathered is fine. It is rare that I have to go to more than a few mining/botany nodes or spend more than a few minutes of fishing to get one.

My friend dont even BOTHER to get a map since we have that!
She really hates(Me too!) that is can take 1-30mins for 1 single map, and can give you only some elemental shards/crystals at the end >_>

Meanwhile, I'd just like to have them available for esoteric tomes. Or dungeon drops. Or, well...any somewhat commonly used DoW/DoM content.

As it is, treasure maps and thus the treasure dungeon are pretty much dead content to me anyhow. Which is why I bet they're used for the Anima quest somehow >_>

I believe fishing is the fastest route. But, I don't know the optimal fishing hole for it :\

Upper Thaliak River, if you are in the Hinterlands already, or Pappus Tree in Asyz La. I go for Asyz La but only because I'm there for the red scrips.
