They gave me my Pegasus... so I'm happy XD.

But I think it would be lovely if the primal mounts, once they can fly; would have feathered wings rather then the Kirin 'Pixie' wings.

I would like a common bicycle though, I just think the idea is cute.

I also think it would be really cute but I've never seen anything like a bicycle around in Eorzea. I think it would be hard to fit it into the world.

Ironically enough in Ul'dah near the entrance to the GSM's Guild there's two lalafell NPCs talking and if you walk close to them you get dialogue balloons appear of what they're talking about - one of them mentions he's come up with a new mode of transportation which is a "seat suspended between two wheels that you pedal with your feet"... and his companion just scoffs and dismisses it as a "stupid idea." Sooo... there is that possibility some kind of bicycle might make it into Eorzea (unlike Cloud's motorcycle, a bicycle would easily fit given it's origins in the 19th century, even ignoring the above reference already in game).

But then, given lore wise the Syndicate (specifically, Lolorito) are hellbent on holding back any kind of transport innovation that he himself cannot make money out of or would otherwise compete against his aetheryte network income and chocobo carriage services, I wouldn't be surprised if Lolorito would deliberately conspire to prevent bicycles becoming commonplace in Eorzea....

Or maybe I'm just overthinking this too much!

That's a little bit paranoid considering the instant long-distance teleportation appeal of Aetherytes, not to mention that the daring Bicycle inventor here would need some form of investment to get his ieda off the ground. Plus if he's so keen on maintaining a monopoly, with Cid and the Ironworks still in business, he's need more work on his plans.
