Little confused on Chocobo Breeding

Ok I have a male with the following stats/stars

4 | 3
2 | 3
2 | 4

And I have a female with the following

M | F
4 | 3
4 | 2
4 | 2
3 | 2
4 | 3

How do the stars get distributed on the offspring? If it is male does it pull stars only from the Male side? How the stars get decided on the offspring is what is confusing me.

It randomly pulls from both to decide what parent stats it gives.

So your male can give:

4 or 4
4 or 3
4 or 3
2 or 3
2 or 4

And the female gives:

4 or 3
4 or 2
4 or 2
3 or 2
4 or 3

Furthermore, for the chocobo's actual stats it uses, it pulls randomly from the two that were previously picked.

2 | 3 | 3 | 2 -50% chance of either 2 or 3 ★
2 | 4 | 4 | 3 -50% chance of 4 ★, 25% chance of 2 or 3 ★


Pretty much, every digit is 25% chance of passing on a stat. If you have more than one of the same, you add the percentages together. (eg. three 4★'s = 25+25+25=75%)
