I welcome you to come and Feast with me & like-minded individuals. We currently have 120 members+ in our Linkshell here on Balmung! 95% of our members are new to PVP and ready to Feast! This is perfect for new players to start. It’s going very well and we have indeed had many games played between ourselves, all in the discord channel just having a great time. We've also had experienced players from multiple servers and data centers share tips and tricks on our Discord Channel! ^^

Excellent idea and you're making a surprising amount of sense today.

We could do this on Cactuar if we had a slightly bigger crowd (I'd have no objections to healing matches for newbies). What it always comes down to is no melee DPS for the party. We've had an easier time getting Fold pops for 3-person parties.

Didn't SE says something about having a real, actual, training mode at some point? If I'm not mistaken, they also responded to the player interest in a Pvp mentor system ...

I expect they're busy until season 2 starts, but it would be nice to have an official training method of some kind, especially for new players. Until they officially get around to it, things like this are probably healthier than jumping straight into ranked 4v4 matches. Anything to ease the blow on the fresh blood is probably better than nothing.

Usually over discord. This helps keep everyone on the same page and also helps everyone to get to know me a little better before they join. We had some great games yesterday between ourselves. It was fun

As I get more members. More teams will be made. Hopefully I can get like 4 teams queuing at once. This can be a good way for some you you guys on aether to make a team and test some strats too. If I ever have more than two teams queuing for light party at once. I'll be sure to let you guys know here.

May be a good way to release some stress huh? Beat on some fresh meat? Err... I mean. You know what I meant! -_-'

Edit: If I can reach 100 members I'll level up my alt (currently level 50). Transfer it to another server and do the same there. If all goes well. We will grow slowly but surely.

Not busy enough to squat out Shatter, apparently... I'm somewhat excited for that and all, but I'd be much more excited for things like a PvP Mentor system, Training Hall, Duels, and so on... The basic stuff that should have been in 2.1 but is still somehow missing... At the very least can Wolves' Den Pier cap us at i150? Come on SE... Not that Shatter is a terrible idea at this point, Frontlines is the casual PvP and I'd say it is the ideal place to get a feel for PvP, I'd hope SE can sustain Frontlines and Feast Seasons, since I quite like the idea of trying to raise my rank and going "That was good" or "That was bad" and just taking a break. It would let me either hold onto +rating or minimizes any downward spirals, while still getting to enjoy PvP...

OT: I think this is a really good idea, hope you/others can expand this across servers/data centers and SE can see that there is real demand for something like a PvP Mentor system and speed up development on it... I mean the framework is already in place with the Novice Network, right? How hard can it be to adapt that for PvP... This really is something SE should have considered a long time ago, guess it didn't matter so much for Frontlines, but with Feast they really threw new players in at the deep end... Really not great for growing the community... The community is fractured enough over data centers, having a central network for PvP at Feasts launch really would have helped things IMO. Shame it falls to the players to try and work something out, but good on your Etro for this.

I've been practicing 8v8 to improve. I've been stuck at Bronze for awhile now because of rude players in 4v4.

Just a recap guys.

I am very proud to say we are now @ 45+ Members and growing! They absolutely love this idea. Yesterday we was able to make two teams where we played about 5-8 games straight. Had everyone in one discord channel and it was a BLAST!

Today I am going to try and make 4 teams and queue them up all at once. If I do I will let you all know on the forums that Aether is in Light party and ready to go!
