I did it before when PLD was my only class & I still sometimes do it now all the while wondering "wtf is going on? why is arrgo so hard?" then I totally facepalm... & activate Shield Oath (it not being there caused way more problems than the Tank Forums says with good DPS)

I didn't know the duty finder existed... I kinda skipped over all the tutorials and only knew there was a party finder, but being in my free trial I couldn't use it so I just stood in front of sastasha waiting for someone who needed to do it too to come over and invite me or something...
When I told my friend the next day he explained the whole thing to me. Though he wasn't exactly helpful avoiding these situations as he thought everything in this game was the most natural thing in the world...

Back when the game first launched I was a little clueless how main and secondary stats worked so when I got to lvl 30ish on my drg I was finally able to afford crafted accessories and bought dex gear on the right side thinking it would improve critical chance/potency, boy was I happy when I figured that out.

I jumped right into ACN and loved it and I had 0 idea about hate/tanking so I had no idea why tanks were so frustrated when I used Topaz Carbuncle.

Also in preparation for becoming a SCH I thought I would really help a lot by co-healing (still as an ACN, mind you) with my piddly little Physicks. >_> I am sure all of the WHM and co-DPS who experienced my newbie ACN-self were also very thankful for that... >_>

I also remember seeing one of my THM friends showing off Swiftcast and thinking "Pffffft I'm a healer, I'll never need that." By the time Titan HM came to be a thing, I realized... I really needed Swiftcast. XD

i started playing as pld
when i unlocked The Wanderer's Palace and qued to it people there were yelling at me to speed run it and i had no idea what a speed run is
so i opened youtube to see what is this and all i saw plds hitting sprit and doing flash and Shield Lob while running and i thought yeah thats easy i can do it
so tried again with my amazing il55 gear and did what the videos i saw doing and ending up losing all the mobs aggrro while running and couldnt bear a few hits and i died and the others got 1 shoted by the tonberry
ofc i was yelled at again and they called me stuff xD the next day i qued and did a normal run and didnt get a group telling me to speed run it

I remember when I first started playing, my two friends that I was gonna play with both went gladiator not realizing that it was strictly a tank class, they though it had a dps/tank split kinda like arcanist does. I decided to go healer, and liked the idea of arcanist because summons. However one of them took a break from the game around the time I started, and by that time I decided, whatever, I'll just go summoner instead.

Back when I was a noob, I always forgot that I was either healing with Cleric Stance or DPSing without it... Very annoying.
