Hmm, well, after trying more new group content, I think it's just me. Too bad, it's been a fun game so far.

I queued Cutters Cry inprogress on my 38 MCH to join this 2/4 group.
White: Warrior
Orange/yellow: Black Mage
Pink: Replacement dps - Bard

I had moved spread shot to another cross hotbar and I end up clikcing it on my vertical side bar where my pots are at. I used it several times only to have the bard take hate and kite them. I left my computer and came back to me dead ofcourse and I mistakenly clicked leave duty thinking it was return. I wish I hadn't done that for more laughs.![]()
Man, I read all these horror stories and my only thoughts are:
The French seem like the BR of Europe.
My beloved WAR seems to attract a lot of....less than stellar players. And this saddens me.
Either my datacenter is actually not too bad, or I just run my roulettes at times when less stupid is playing, or else I've just been super lucky.
I'll toss a positive story in the mix while I'm on break.
Curse you SE for making NIN so fun...it's been my new addiction. Leveling roulette gave me Stove Vigil the other night. MCH, WHM and DRK plus me on NIN. DRK starts the instance by telling us that he's never tanked SV before. Ok, cool, I toss him a few basic pointers; go for the aoe-users first, use Unleash = to the number of mobs in the group on pull, and otherwise just ride the cooldown of Blood Price whenever you're fighting more than one guy and we should be golden.
Long story short, that's exactly what happens throughout the entire instance. Awesome. I give a few tips here and there for bosses or specific pulls, and the DRK basically goes "rgr" and then does it. Boom; great time.
About halfway to the first boss, I notice that the MCH is kinda going off on other targets. I ask if he wants me to mark a kill order for us to follow, and he happily agrees. And again, that's what happens throughout the entire instance.
Warn the DRK about upcoming Ice Sprites that hurt like mofos? He pulls em back to a safe spot and pops cooldowns as needed. Warn him about pats and he waits patiently to snag the group or the pat as the situation presented itself, and positions himself perfectly to avoid extra aggro. MCH and I chainsaw'd through each group of mobs, and the WHM had ample time to pop into CS and support DPS with us. It was a grand thing. And at the end, I walked out with 3/3 comms to the sound of effusive thanks. On NIN no less.
Later that night, expert roulette on my WAR brought me into AC hard. WAR, WHM, BLM and SMN. Wait....BLM *and* SMN?! OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYPULLALLTHETHINGS!!!!
And that's the story of how we beat AC hard in under 15 minutes. I think the WHM used an actual casted curative spell on me less than 30 times before the final boss. It was mostly medica 2/regen/asylum with the odd Bene here and there.

So, it has been a night of contrasts. Queue into Sastasha. Almost instantly, as a dps. The world must be ending. ;P I'm the lone new person. In a speed run, apparently. The whole way through, it was big pulls, no talking, zoom, zoom, zoom! Now, I'm not exactly complaining. It was superfast and efficient. Just, not much fun.
Next, Tam Tara. And it's a whole group of newbies. Wheee! This could have been so awful, but actually, it was way more fun than the first dungeon. That poor tank (GLA) had such a hard time holding aggro the whole way through, but he was trying. Between me, the healer, and the other dps, there were several fights we were trading enmity like a hot potato! It was hilarious! Only one death; the poor tank from a big pull in one of the side rooms. Don't think the healer was quite prepared for all that damage. Hellos at the beginning, congrats at the end, and comms.
DF is crazy.![]()
I was leveling my Mch in Stone Vigil when, after second boss, healer says bye and leave. I waited 2 minutes for other healer, then I leave to enter as Sch and help to finish that run.
At least dropped weapon for Mch in last boss![]()
I've been levelling Dragoon the past few days, and going solo without my friend in DF. I've been getting a lot of bad runs full of quite frankly- Idiots. I'm still a noobish player, but after running these dungeons quite a few times, I've got the hang of a few things and learning a lot about my class. Unfortunately, this frequently happens late at night after 12am. Looks like I'll be posting here a few times a day aha. Look forward to it.
We all love Bliz III spamming BLMs, but yesterday a new low was reached. Stone Vigil Nm for lvling roulette, BLM stands at the back and spams Bliz 2, hitting nothing. Everything dying incredibly slowly as a result.
I ask if they are open to advice. No answer.
After a few mins I try to explain open with Fire III for stack then just fire2 til mp low then Bliz 3. From then on he stops casting anything at all, but is not afk, running with us but not casting anything. Maybe had one of us on follow.
Kick went through fairly quickly. Nothing against people learning, but when he appeared to just give up entirely, I'm not taking someone through who has us on follow
Oh right
So i queue Trails roulette for... whatever reason

Had the most awesome run of Fractal the other day. I queued as BLM and got in with a BRD who played Foe as much as possible and an AST who constantly threw Balances and Arrows on me. In return I stepped up my game and did the best I could to make use of it all and the dungeon went by so fast. Sadly I didn't get a chance to thank these two players for being completely awesome before they left.
See this is what I don't get. I love runs like your one, where everyone does their best. I had one last week, think Antitower, with me (BLM), a SMN, SCH and DRK. Everyone was on point, tank used CDs appropriately to not be taking much, allowing the SCH to do considerable dps, and we casters tore everything down, tank pulled big and never lost aggro on anything. Rare to get such a group in DF.
These runs are the most fun to me. I don't really get the mindset of people who think "its only a dungeon" and just half-ass it. OK, you don't need to be top of your game to get thru it, sure, but it's so much more fun imo.
