I initially picked one up many years ago because I thought it'd help with my self confidence issues to force myself to play with other people and honestly it didn't help with that much lol I did meet good friends in games but it often takes me a really long time to get to know anyone and I really lack self confidence in trying new things but it did give me some sense of achievement and self worth. This game I picked up simply because somebody I knew in another game could get me a beta code and I really liked the art style and world so pre ordered the game after that. Never played 1.0 I heard a lot of negative things and felt like I didn't want to waste money on a game I may well hate and only play for a month. I kinda wish I did now though just to really see the difference that 2.0 bought.
???You might start with actually seein woman as people and understanding that of course some of us don't like being called girl or women and barely any like being called female. So how about you stop being so sensitive that you are hurt by girls "friendzoning" you because when you're the one to girlfriendzone them first anywway. geez.what?
Then what do you like your sex being called in the context of talking about potential romantic partners of a certain sex? You are totally proving Obysuca's point about some people being overly sensitive nowadays. And what in the world was that comment about seeing woman as people, an unfounded assumption totally out of the blue based on a single word that person said. Flipping out on the word they chose to use, yet another point proven. Hilarious!
Not any more than when I just want to go to the store/school/gym/park/pub and people see me as a potential romantic partner. Most people tend to seek for romance at some point in their life and trying to dictate what word they use to refer to the sex they are attracted to is not going to change that fact.

Don't you think it might be a bit tiresome sometimes when u just want to play the game and u have to talk to people who only see u as a potential romantic partner instead of a playing buddy ? ^^???what?

Anyway bk to topic , my first MMO i played was Asherons Call 2 and friend got me in to , he was like : heyyy look at this this game lets try it out , since then im hooked with MMO's , though ive only played EQ2 for a longer period , neither WoW,Rift , Guild Wars and whatnot hooked up me to the MMO genre again , FFXIV is the first mmo since EQ2 wich im playing longer then 1 Month .
(Ive quit EQ2 after they introduced a cash shop , unlike FFXIV where the cash shop has its on website , EQ2 did it horribly everytime u loged in to the game there was a big window poping up in ur face saying buy this and that , while paying a sub :P )
What i like most on MMOs is making friends and doing stuff together , and ofc the Story , i wouldnt play some generic f2p mmo , even if it had the best combat system , id totally get bored from it if the story is some generic copy/past thing :P
oh and i like the cutscenes![]()

It's not uncommon for people to sort-of be in a constant state of seeking a romantic partner. The most logical place for one to look is during a social activity that they enjoy, and where they constantly meet new people.
That said, personally, I have difficulty relating, as I really need to meet a person in real life before I begin to form feelings.
Thank you.
I started playing Ragnarok online because the anime was fun. After that, I played tons of mmos but never really tried to build something in them, except maybe Aion and Lunia. But I really want to stay on FFXIV. I hope I can do it. I usually play mmos because I find them fun, for the social interaction which is cool, for the fact that I can customise my character, etc.
Ragnarok Online
sad the so called successor Tree of Savior became such a pay wall to very basic features of the game but if you can enjoy the game without the basic player interaction functions then you will be fine.

My first MMO was FFXI. I remember when I heard XI would be online, I got all pissy about it. Then I ended up playing it for five years.
I've always been into FF games, and played most of them. So it wasn't that I was interested in MMOs; it was more along the lines of wanting to continue to play FF, and it turned out to be a really great experience filled with both good and bad memories. I discovered that there is a whole different side to me that only comes out in MMOs. Then there's all the gorgeous scenery, musical scores, socializing, bosses living up to their names, the gear, growing a character, and the oh so important newbie days that you only get to go through once.
It's also an extension of how much I care for people, which is why I always play healer. I'm always helping people irl without much expectation for return, so MMOs give me a way of combining two passions. Three if the MMO is FF![]()
My first MMO was either runescape which I played for 2 hours until I got ganked or MapleStory which I actually played for a few months.
For me MMOs just feel so different from other games. Usually I play games for just their story or becasue I want something to blow off steam. MMOs are places where I feel I can meet people and interact. The cost was also a factor for a long time for me. In college I played free mmos because I was broke (mostly Aion). However I remember being on the FFXIV website for hours back in 1.0 days an wishing I had enough money for a sub. I like the people I've met since I finally started playing in July and I'm hoping on bringing a friend into the world of Eorzea as soon as they get a PS4.
