Haukke NM. The warrior doesn't have Defiance active, so the healer asks for it. No answer, no reaction. We all shrug it off and deal with everyone except the tank tanking. After the second boss the healer has a DC, we kill the Ahriman mob without them, then wait for them and finally kick them after 5 minutes. Literally two seconds after the kick went through, the warrior uses Defiance.

Just had two groups in a row with unbelievable folks.
Stone Vigil: One DPS was constantly going afk without saying anything. He would go afk in the middle of fights, get hit by all the AoEs, and when one mob died, didn't move to the next one.

We were all poking him and asking if he was afk. No response. Continued from the beginning to the boss. Had trouble kicking him because he wouldn't roll on loot.

Praetorium: The other WHM was extremely impatient and was pulling all the mobs by running straight into them, casting Holy before the tank. Several times they almost died, and would have if I hadn't healed them.
The tank was not going slowly by any means, but this WHM was just super in a hurry for some reason.
Right before the final boss(es), someone (probably the WHM) initiated a vote kick on the tank, who had been working their butt off to keep aggro off this WHM.
Of course the vote immediately failed.
So during the last 3 fights the WHM simply stood there and did nothing.

    EX Roulette, got Antitower.

First few pulls in there can't be chain pulled, so the mob size is pretty small. Healer starts yelling at me to pull more, saying I can handle it with my gear. I respond that I can't pull more, and they start rattling off insults on how if I can't handle mass pulling I should "deinstall." Got a good laugh out of that one.

And then after the first boss I start pulling as much as possible (you know, when the dungeon actually let's you pull more than one group) and I tell the healer "See? I can handle large pulls, you just literally cannot chain pull those first mobs." Then the healer says I could only handle the pulls because they were such a good healer, and then called me a certain slur. Luckily our DPS were decent people and we vote kicked the healer. I then continued to full pull until we got to the boss, and survived through use of CDs and based Clemency, before we got a new healer. Credit to those DPS too for their amazing damage (also helping me survive).

A few days ago I went into Antitower for the first time with my WHM. Right off the bat, this happens:

Me: First time, watched a guide
    Tank: Worry not
Tank: For the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

I got a really good laugh out of it X'D

Onto another story: First time in Lost City of Amdapor Hard and I say the same thing as above. Everyone's fine with it and the WAR proceeds to do massive pulls. I'm normally fine with them, but the WAR popped no cooldowns, UNLESS he was on the verge of dying. His HP kept dipping to the point where most tanks would have popped their ultimate defense CD (he never popped Holmgang btw) so many times, and I was just thinking, "this guy must really trust me". And to make matters worse, I haven't played since the end of Heavensward, so my gear is outdated now and it felt like my dps and heals were doing nothing. The NIN and BLM were on point, except at one point the BLM got hit by some AOEs and I just couldn't spare any heals on anyone but the tank, so the BLM died. I felt really bad because it was obvious he was waiting for a ress, but I had no MP or CDs to restore it. BLM joins up with us and apologizes, but I know that was partially my fault as well. We're able to finish the run with no other deaths and some super sweaty hands. The WAR had a mentor crown...

Everyone was cool since hey it's been a long time they are doing CT.

I just had the best Titan HM run since my first one. I was doing my Gae Bolg quest and this was the last part so I was a little relaxed. Made it to the final phase with no problems, then I jumped into three Weight of the Lands and died. And everything went down hill from there. The tanks and healers were on point though. But yeah, for the first time since I started leveling I really felt like a true Dragoon.

Oh, I have another one. A typical 'tank doesn't accept advice' one.

Ok, so I queued up for lvl50 roulette as Mach earlier today. Got The Keeper of the Lake. I've been getting that one pretty often lately, so I thought it would be a smooth run.

As usual, I couldn't have been more wrong.

We had a green leaf, a Warrior tank. 7.7k hp, seemed pretty ok-ish. Until I noticed that was his hp with Defiance *on*. Checked his gear, 110 left side (which is decent) but a mess on the right side, so low Vit for that point. 'Ok', I thought. 'If he knows his job well (which you should at least be half decent at when you hit that point in the story), it shouldn't be an issue...' Oh boy...

Pops literally every cd he has before a pull, doesn't even bother to grab aggro off the healer (who had to heal a bunch due to said idiotic cd usage) and caused us to wipe on the second trash mob group because of that. Ok, retry, being more careful now. First boss, again a near wipe because he kept spinning like a ballerina, getting all the containers hit in the process. We pulled through, but not with me and the other dps going down due to all the explosions.

Next set of trash, I start to notice a pattern. He pulls with Tomahawk, but doesn't follow up with either Flash or Overpower. So, aggro is bouncing everywhere again. Second boss, tank manages to die twice, even though the healer is consta-healing. I end up tanking for the last 25% of that fight.

Surprisingly, no issues with the mobs leading up to Midgardsormr. However, this is where the 'fun' begins, the boss fight itself. Despite explaining mechanics, he kept facing the dragons to the rest of the party, causing us to take damage that would normally be avoided. Also, despite saying that he should step into the barrier when the obvious wipe mechanic appears, he stubbornly stayed outside of it. We wiped, tried again, wiped *again*. Now, me, the other dps and the healer were getting pretty pissed at this point (the tank got enough chances already), so we decided to shove some tanking advice into the chat. Now, admittedly, we might not have gone about it in the most calm way (swearing was not involved, but you could read between the lines that patience was running thin), but the tank decides to take this opportunity harass the entire party, swearing at us and everything. Vote dismiss for harassment, went through in less than 5 secs.

Got a new tank within 5 mins and, after explaining to the tank what happened, we cleared with no issues.

Seriously, once you reach Keeper of the Lake, you should know how to tank.

Oh geez, I'm reminded of one.

A6 in DF. I'm in there as PLD, and the DRK who was in there decides to MT. I don't mind taking OT, since it's technically better for PLD to OT right now. After the first fight, it's pretty clear though that the tank doesn't have a lot of experience with tanking in large groups, or with persistent AoE enemy abilities. But before I can advise that he needs to move the boss and position him such that the melee DPS can access its rear and flank, the BLM snarks about how great the tanking was to not accommodate the MNK's positionals.

We move along, and get to Swindler. Enumeration goes off, and someone who was new sees the marker over their head and runs away, and gets nuked. We bring them back up, and I explain that they need to run in so we can stack as needed. Next one goes off, hits the same person, and we stack in appropriately (or we think we do - someone must have miscounted). Half the group nearly dies, and the BLM and his FC Scholar friend start berating the casuals, saying they should just ignore mechanics and burn the boss. They say it's easier--then we all take a hit from his Enumeration (he didn't move because lolcasuals) and nearly wipe, and I reply "evidently mechanics do matter."

We fumble our way through the last boss (I don't believe the DRK properly knew what a tank swap was), the BLM complaining the entire time about how bad casuals are, and how they ruin the game--just some classic WoW dick-waggling. At the end, their FC healer thanks them for their "epic dps," which prompts them to post the damage parse in /p, and then tell everyone, "you're casuals; just accept it." As if that somehow makes us inferior.

Reported them both because parser abuse (and just shitty attitudes), but man, that was not a good night. I know I'm "casual" right now, but that doesn't make me a subpar player, just means that I don't have 20+ hours a week to dedicate to the game. I'm generally pretty laid-back, but nothing gets under my skin quite like an elitist who lords their lack of a life over other players and fails to remember their own roots.

I just finished running some midas with two friends because they still needed drops.

A3, I guess tanks missed a tank swap (there is one, right?) so MT died and I was tanking as a monk, until the OT realized that I wasn't actually a tank.
This happened two times. In two different groups.

A4, everything seems going fine until the add phase where the two tanks have to tank different stuff.
For whatever reason, one of the tanks decided to run all the way through the platform to reach the other tank with the add following him/her and the tree unfortunate melee running after them.
As soon as both adds were close together, one started to use that tank damage attack; unfortunately tank decided to abruptly turn around resulting in all of us melee dead. (It was the yellow flash, idk if it was the tank buster or group share).

Luckily, both friends got their drops. I don't think I would have lasted for other turns. And tomorrow everything restarts again. Yay.

They sound like the kind of shitters that can't actually compete, so they compare themselves to casuals players instead.

You actually don't have to swap if your healers aren't asleep at the wheel. Unfortunately, many of them in DF seem to be.

Stacking the adds is pretty standard practice so SMN/SCH can Bane. I usually tank both adds so my WAR friend can DPS.

Sounds like they turned the single cannon into the party or there weren't enough people stacked for double cannon.
