When/Why were you vote kicked?

Only happened once. They could have just not and everything would be fine from that point on, but I can't hold it against them because the inconvenience I afforded them was fully my responsibility.

Stone Vigil. I'm tank. We get a few trash mobs in. My connection cuts (that's what I get for being in the northern part of a country like Wales). First and only connection drop of the day but it takes a handful of minutes before I can begin the log in process again. In less than 5 minutes I was back and without a word I received a kick a few seconds later.

I might have been more merciful but fair play. I've played plenty of other games where the etiquette is to sit down and shut up if it's your connection alone that cut, and rightly so.

The only times I have been vote kicked was back when I first started back before Heavensward came out. I was kicked from 3 parties in Brayflox normal. Twice before we even started because I wasn't a White Mage and the third after the party died because the tank wouldn't dodge dragon breath and left the dragon in the poison puddles.

The only time I got vote kicked was when freakin' game crashed on me and the party refused to wait 3 minutes for me to return. XD

And yes sometimes being kicked from a party is a mercy

I haven't been vote kicked yet, but I have initiated a vote kick a couple of times, but only for the following reasons:
1.) A DPS decides he wants to be a tank and continuously pulls all of the mobs, causing the tank and healer a lot of trouble.
2.) A tank trying to pull way too many mobs, especially in a pre-50 dungeon, dies because heals can't keep up. Tank tries the same exact thing again, except this time without even waiting for Protect.
3.) Any player begins cursing and telling other people they suck or they are idiots. Especially when that person is the DPS, it's easy to remove them and find a more civilized DPS quickly. Or even clear the dungeon with just 3 people.

Thankfully, I've never encountered someone going afk for more than a minute and I've only initiated a vote kick for someone who DCed once after they didn't come back for a few minutes.

I wouldn't vote kick anyone for Needing on an item they don't actually need, but I certainly will remember their name.

The one time I got votekicked was during Qarn (HM) when I was new to tanking (DRK was my first tank class). I couldn't hold aggro to save my life, and got voted out (justifiably). Quit tanking after that and never looked back. Funny enough, I only started tanking to help get comms, but I get more comms as BLM than I ever did as a tank.

I just got vote kicked because tank struggled to hold hate against my enochian BLM in DPS stance. XD I find it hilariously pathetically funny more than anything.

ETA: It was the Antitower I got booted from, which was entirely random.

In a7n, heart reached the gobwalker twice and we wiped. Without out any warning, nothing said to me specifically, and after only one wipe, I was kicked. Granted, I'm not very familiar with the fight, so I missed them spawn until too late, but I'm a drg, and the other 3 dps were ranged.

Was in void arc today as an OT. Told my alliance that Grit was for p******. They thought I was serious so they kicked me lol.
