I don't think the best gear in any MMO should be easy to get, and I doubt I will ever think differently. With that being said, I'm more afraid of all the raging carebears when they don't nerf the early steps, and the next step takes longer than 10 hours to complete. Carebears can be very dangerous when they are frothing at the mouth.

EDIT: My prediction is 10 books similar to animus books, because someone datamined a set of 10 books when anima weapons first came out... I could be wrong tho.

Materia probably won't be till the 3.3 part. Save up on your VA drops and you probably won't need to buy any.

Will Square show some mercy, considering the ridiculousness of the last step? Or are we FATEd (heh) to an even grindier step this time around?

My hope is that, like everything 3.2 has been so far, the new step moves towards not being the annoying grind that HW has become synonymous with. Even if it's a lot of work, it'd be nice to have a step that doesn't force us to run the same stuff 200+ times, for example.

I hear ya brother. I did the level 50 relic quests when I became 50 for my PLD class. The books have been already a stretch for me, I stopped at the materia. That was just not worth it anymore.

I have EVERYTHING ready for the post-book part for my Zodiac Weapons for my other classes yet I haven't gotten the Animus because... the books are just TOO much and TOO tedious to do for my other 8 classes 9 times each. I want to collect all the Zodiac Weapons before I work on my Animus Weapons next, but I feel so burnt out on the books.

I hope the next Animus part isn't as bad.

I really hope it's not 230 why bother getting a lore wep when most relic weapons will have the better sub stats unless you get to A8 and upgrade the lore.
