So anyone else tired of grinding tomes weekly for gear?

What is a rune? It's an enchantment stone that once used creates a clickable button like the minions are once used. And using that button adds a buff to your current character.

Example. World trash mobs might drop a level 1 rune. Say, "Poison Resistance 1" that adds a few percent resist. Get the stone as a drop, use it and you can click that resistance onto yourself anytime. Only one rune allowed active at a time.

Perhaps a NM drops Poison resist 3, Perhaps a Dungeon Trash drops 2. The chest after the last boss might have a 6 for a whopping 50% resist.

Some ruins could be combos (Lightning resist 2 Wind Resist 1) and they could have many different stats and bonuses.

This would allow horizontal growth that ported over armor changes. Given enough gradations, you get a lot of things to collect to 'improve yourself' situationally.

Working inside the structures we have still allows for the sort of things people seem to want.

lol, I'm sure this is totally what the devs are going for. Never a good sign when people merely log in to do their dailies, then log out to go play a more interesting game. Or in the case of others, cap their tomes in a day or two, and then go play another game until reset.

Well, I'm allowed to play more than one game for one. I don't have a static I don't do savage. I have all my glamours. I don't care for ffxiv crafting. I don't have any complaints I just multigame.

Also, my days off are during the week. Guess what queue times are like for anything for dps? They're awful. I'm not gonna sit around for 30 minutes waiting for the feast to pop. Even my expert roulette takes forever. So I play this game more on the weekend when more people and fc mates are online.

Right now? For sure. I'm having fun. I enjoy things in ffxiv too but I personally have to keep myself from burning out too fast. Both games entertain me.

I'm not tired of grinding for tomes... but mainly because I haven't been grinding for tomes. >_> I'll run Expert or 60 roulette if an FC buddy asks, but I'm not gonna wear myself out just to cap out every week.
