That would be the case, yes.

But when you can't hold on to hate because you weren't able to aoe aggro enough is still a limit to your ability not the healers problem. Dps may have been able to help you a little by single targeting, but when you pull big you're giving the green light for them to go ham.

That would be the case, yes.I may be reading his post wrong, but what I got from Geula is he lost aggro somewhere between his shield lob to get the first pack, and getting in range to shield lob the second, before he really had a chance to establish hate, meaning the dps went ham before he could even finish pulling the two groups of mobs.
So I've been leveling my Puglist/future Monk recently, only about 20-25 so far. I've never really played positional classes before (unless you count Dragoon after 56).
I get thrown into Satasha for my leveling roulette. The tank and other DPS were discussing how boring it was to play certain classes at that early level, and that they both happened to main Monk as well. I brought up the fact that I was unsure if I was actually hitting monsters from the flank, even if it seemed that way on my screen. The tank proceeded to go 'OH YOU GONNA LEARN TODAY, NEWBIE MONK. THE SAME WAY I DID.'
He proceeded to spin all the mobs in circles. At the final boss, he also went 'OH JUST IN CASE YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT DOING THIS, YOU AIN'T GETTING OFF THAT EASY' and did tank LB immediately.
It was pretty funny though, and I appreciate the tough lesson, ha.

Yeah, Ruda hm is a mess, people taking in the center, standing in every tornado, all that. From light farming, I'm used to holding the sisters as WHM, now no matter what I say, the OT fights me for hate and tries to run off through the tornados with them.I almost miss the days when light farming was a thing, back then even in df it was the norm to just dps down Garuda in HM, ignore the feathers/sisters and pull her to the south after she casts her ultimate. Alas, that strategy seems to be lost to the ages. I don't mind so much people dpsing the adds when I get Garuda HM in trial roulette (even though I feel it's not time efficient), but please, stop trying to tank her in the middle. I'm tired of watching the entire party getting knocked around like rag dolls when the tornadoes come out.

I've been farming Midas normal for weekly drops with friends most of the night. Earlier we had a full premade, but by now it's dwindled to 3. I'm going SCH and two friends are going WAR and MNK. We land in A6 with an Astrologian that camps Noct stance despite me being a better-geared Scholar. I pretty much sort of sighed inwardly and resolved not to say anything... until she overwrote a crit Deployment Tactics Adlo with her shitty Aspected Helios. I asked her why the hell she'd overwrite it and she said she forgot because she's used to having a WHM paired with her. I told her she should be in Diurnal when she's paired with a Scholar anyway, at which point she replied that she needed the heal boost because of her item level. That makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm i214 SCH so I shield for more than she does anyway, making hers not only pointless, but actively sabotaging mine. -.-
She also didn't believe us when we said Brawler can be solo tanked by using cooldowns correctly unless a PLD MT's it. Never mind that the boss does solely magic damage and can do frequent tank busters, so both DRK and WAR are fine to tank it. >_>
I make Eos tank them. Fey Illumination > Rouse > Whispering Dawn and that tank is gonna have to fight her hard to get them. xD

^I only do A8 once for the midan gear now. Can just get crafted gear with costs of 100-300k each piece mat costs + crafter tip (on my server)
Not really a '' horror '' story, but more of an annoyance. What's up with people that have this complete and utter nonchalant attitude?
I was tanking in the duty finder, and we had a summoner in the party using his tanking pet.
I ask him if he could please change his pet, emphasis on the '' please '' part, I am being very nice. Not freaking out or anything ridicilous.
Not only that, but while I am typing it for the second time, I notice that he is running ahead in front of me and pulling himself. So he has his tank pet out, and is pulling.
I ask for the third time nicely, not in an angry tone at all. If he could please change pet.
And he finally answers '' why ''.
I tell him that he has his tank pet out. He says '' Yes ''................
I ask, again... Nicely... Because you never know, maybe he genuinly didn't know why having it out is wrong.
And I tell him that I am mainly telling him, because it won't work later on, it's no big deal. Just making sure that he knows so that he doesn't get yelled at in the future.
He asks '' why ''....... again. Just that one word...
And I say '' it's irritating for the tank, and you're a dps. You need to have your dps pet out ''.
He responds with '' k '', just that one letter.....
He does NOT change his pet......
I just left....
I don't get it, what the hell is up with some people?
I feel shitty for leaving the other people. But seriously. I was already tired and in a rather bad mood. And I genuinly went out of my way to help the guy. And all I get back is some nonchalant asshole attitude back and I feel as if I am just talking to a brick wall that ain't listening. He kept pulling too even tho I told him to stop it.

A rather odd question.
Has anyone ever had a tank in Fractal attempt to pull EVERYTHING after the first boss all the way to the second boss? Because that's what just happened to me, and now I'm wondering if such a pull is actually possible... I popped all of my heal CDs and keeping the tank up just seemed impossible after all the AoEs came out and started shredding the rest of us. I talked to a couple FC mates about it afterwards, and one said he did it before, but I'm pretty sure he was BSing. At the least, it would have required the tank to at least tell us he was gonna do that first. And not waste all the CDs while running. Along with bringing the shabati to the door of the 2nd boss after the failed attempt thinking we could skip Manticore afterwards. >_>
(I don't mind people trying for speed runs as I fancy myself a rather offensive healer to help that along, but not when it's pretty clear the tank had never tried it before and was only doing it because one of his peers pressured him into trying it/doesn't know exactly what's needed to even have a chance at succeeding. Like, he popped all the CDs -while- running and didn't use Abyssal Drain after the fact. We could have probably had a sub-17 minute run of Fractal, but that botched pull set us back like 5 minutes.
I mean, pulling to the middle is a pretty regular thing for me to see, but that was really the first time I saw a tank attempt to pull absolutely everything all the way over to the second boss...)

From my understanding this is a rather common pull amongst pre-made groups. I wouldn't pull it in a DF group unless the healer told me otherwise though.
