For fans of casual jeans, Zidane's outfit actually provides a very nice level 1 dyeable pair.

The wristband you get for doing 500 or so GC leves for the immortal flames looks like a very nice golden watch. The two other companies' wristbands could pass for one also, but aren't as chic.

why wouldn't Eorzeans consider making hoodies? it's....just...a...shirt....with a hood...like whm robe, or any other robe in the game...with a hood...

I mean for the chocobo/mog/deer costumes I guess you could argue that most places make fancy dress stuff themed on animals and what not all the time.

I can see denim eventually being a craftable material.

as for more modern outfuts, yeah. I even try to get as close as I can with the gear we do have. I can look like I'm fit for a mosh pit with some creativity.

Just have them come from another world, that's how we got the FF XIII gear, it would explain why we live in the world where everything is powered by chocobos running in a wheel and we're wearing skinny jeans and hoodies.

Someone mentioned this in another thread and I'm still a believer that it's win win for all people involved. Allow level 1 gear be as ridiculous as you want it. Keep tome, high end crafted gear, and raid gear looking in theme.

Have a option in your system menu that turns off glamour. If you're a purist and don't want to see people glamouring the ridiculous. You'll see them wearing that lore gear. And they can enjoy their hoodie or w/e.

Keeps immersion for those people.

Could go even deeper and just have a checklist where you can say "I don't want to see real clothes on people but other glamours are fine." And keep themes in a group that way you can just block a distasteful theme

Dont get me wrong, i absolutely love the fantasy style clothing in this game. But i wish there were more "normal" options.
There's already a good pair of shorts, but i would do almost anything to see something like a t-shirt or a hoodie.
The glitz and glam are nice and all, but i want my WoL to look comfy while hes out saving the world.
Have a npc merchant called foreign fashion advisor or something.

I do not want to see hoodies in the game. I don't think it fits the world at all. I wouldn't mind seeing more casual looking clothes though.

It can be like the WHM AF body gear, but as a half robe instead as a full robe. With the hood down.

I don't agree with this, it doesn't fit with the FF theme the FF theme they're trying to go with is FF12 as people said if you want this idea go play aion.. or something all the MMORPGs can't be the same. Each one has its own feel FF was never one to mix themes so lets keep it this way, lots of clothes are already casual as hell as people said but not the now-time casual which I think is the best way of doing it.
