Why would you need to Not show your Shield when you have to fight?

The main trait of the gladiator is using their shield to improve defence and fullfill the party role as a tank.
Wielding a shield in melee combat its one of the features that defines the Gladiator class in the game.

Perhaps you should consider playing another class since you clearly don't enjoy a sword and board type playstyle.
Cause what you suggest is very silly, either you want to fight blocking with an invisible shield or you want to fight without using any of the shields features (aka you would be useless in a party)but keeping its stats (lol).

I believe MH=Main Hande

and
OH=Off Hand. Off hand would be shield. You now have the option to hide your off hand equipment.

The reason we were given the option to hide main was because for the summer event, it didnt look right in a swimsuit with a weapon/tool, so this was what they came up with, 1.18a started it by hiding it on your screen and this is them finishing.

You can just unequip you shield if you want, then equip it when you want to fight. You shouldnt need to hide it out of battle because you dont need the starts.

Seriously how long will people ask for /display underwear off can I have it. its getting stupid now, main is one thing because it cant be unequipped and nothing else is needed for any reason because you can just unequip, then when you set off to do leves, grind, quests or any other battle content reequip it.

Edit: Or if you dont like shield dont level Gladiator get on PUG, MRD or LNC then you dont have to use a shield, simple anyone with a brain could solve you epic problem.

Players will be asking for the ability to toggle the visuals for every piece of gear at this rate.

Weapon toggle was done for swimsuits and because you cant unequip your weapon. If you don't like your shield, take it off.
