Also, you can't transfer onto locked worlds, I tried.

I admit, may be a pain but I agree. Slap that alarm for 4am or whenever it should be over, take the few mins to login and make a new characters and done....plus if your like me that feeling of going back to bed feels sooooo good. xD

It should be easy as long as you wake up early after maintenance. Unless it's Balmung in which case...I have tried to get on even after maint, but if you wait more then 3 minutes it will be closed again. :/

I've made new characters on Balmung, amusingly.

However, as you said, the window of time is EXTREMELY short before you get locked out.

Personally, if it were me; I'd just fork over the $18 to play with my boyfriend. It would just come out of fun money pile that I save into.

Yea somehow I woke up late it was about 10 minutes after maint ended....and nope. I'm gonna try again for hahas this morning :P

Thank you for all your replies! Looks like the restriction has been lifted and my wife may be able to create a character on my main server.

I know your issue is resolved, but come fill in some of the lower pop servers! If people just keep making characters on like 3 servers, the problem will only get worse as time wears on.

It's inevitable, honestly.

A bustling economy, considerably cheaper market board prices due to said economy, larger pool of players to play with, and even more groups available on the party finder VS a server that feels empty at times, hard to find groups save for peak hours, less people, and market board prices that will violate your wallet hard.

Which one do you think most players would choose?
