Tri-bind / Blizz 2 = Either eat the bind/get esuna'd or waste purify unless you already used it on DoTs. If you waste it here you'll eat the burst unless you CC them asap.
Shockwave Via Garuda = Knockback can combo with tri bind.
All Egi can also harass fellow casters/healers
Titan can Stun a target if used
Ifrit can also stun a target if used.
Wither can dispell.
Aetheric Burst is a slow to help stop damage/healing/harass
Can Rouse /Enkindle pet for more burst damage.

I don't think you know how powerful SMNs kit really is in terms of CC/ability to survive if they want to.

Edit: Forgot to mention Rouse makes their pet immune to CC, and they have virus to further reduce incoming damage, as well as Miasma to cut down healing done to a target, and access to Eye for an Eye. and the ability to blind. Another Slow with shadow flare. Seriously their kit is huge.
