8v8 doesn't really prepare you for 4v4. They're not at all the same experience. And if there was training queue for 4v4, then people shouldn't be getting mad at others, because it's training.

8v8 (and Frontlines) are a much better place to get a bearing on your PvP abilities. It's not even close. Having less impact on the game (or more downtime between fights, in Frontline's case) gives you better opportunities to read tooltips, observe, and ask questions.

If you have no idea what you're doing at all in a pvp context, throwing yourself right into the highest difficulty is an awful way to learn. It's like trying to learn a brand new class (at 50/60) by trying to do EX primals rather than EX roulette.

If you want to do some 4v4 solo queue, there's no "unranked" mode.

For learn how to use pvp skills you have the fold is a rank 50 but pvp skill are the same, plus you have front lines to work on it.

You know that, in FFXIV which isn't known for its PvP scene, each time a patch brings some new PvP elements, players who never went in PvP before are going to try it. It's expected.

No but the same why that you have ppl going to looking for guides, videos or streamers when you wanna clear a pve content , guess what for pvp that have that to. Every one that play pvp wanna help other people to get into that to. If you put a pf up 100% chance that someone will help you. For e.x: Go to Wolves' Den Pier to training how to use your pvp skills before come to a match. You can ask for help in the forum to someone will help you improve your game

Look like the same but is not, if know how that you have pvp skills and you know how to use it. A match will help you to improve it adapt it, become a better player.

Yeah losing a match is losing points, for those that have rank. So we regroup and try something different, because if you don't wipe in the first round who is losing can take a small advantage from vulnerability stacks.

Who cares? It's pre-season and if you reach a high enough rank, you're not gonna see these "WHEEEEEE PVP!" again.
So be patient and rank up. Also, don't forget that there's no unranked 4v4.

Nothing to say about it if you wanna pvp ask for help in the forum or for someone. Try to learn the game, most of the people that pvp was waiting almost 1 hour to play a pvp match that takes 20 min tops so they really like it and someone say "WHEEEE PVP!" is to annoying. And you come to the forum just to say that

Bottom line is SE should have made a practice 4v4 mode that is unranked and where new players can go and learn, It sucks when you have liabilities in your group when you want to see how far you can get in the rankings, yes it's preseason but you still want to see how far you can go and what works in these random comps for the time being.

One person can make everyone lose, worst part is the people with high rankings will get penalised the most and that's not fair preseason or not. The insults however aren't needed either but who can blame them when you keep losing because people don't want to work together and dont have the skill or knowledge to be a helpful member of the party, It's extremely frustrating.

Here's a game I just got out of. One of the DPS got his "first match guiz!" achievement, and the other ran directly into 4 people instead of waiting for buffs to go out. All 8 players were alive for the first 90 seconds of the match.



About half of my losses have the DPS (or a healer) look like this, comparatively. You are not best served playing 4v4 if this represents your best effort.

Two things I see and would like explained.

One why are Bronze ranks mixed with non ranked?

Two skilled or unskilled they both have the share of toxic. Except the percentage of jerks go up when you are taking from a smaller pool. So unskilled may have more jerks and skilled have higher percentage. So what does this prove either way.
