There's already the pretty silly "thread of a thousand thank-yous" on this board. Frankly, that shouldn't even be here.

This dev team is not that different from the team that released this game initially. The reason they're working so hard now is because they apparently didn't work, or didn't do the right work, before they released a piece of crap to all the fans. Sure, it's great that they're working hard to fix it, but it CERTAINLY doesn't deserve special thanks. If anything it deserves the assurance that IF they're successful in turning the game around, then the playerbase will stick around.

Remember 2 points. 1)Everyone here who plays this game has paid something for a product that is still considered rather poor quality by the people who made it. 2) This is their job. Fixing their own mistakes doesn't deserve special thanks.

And as a side note, consider for a moment that the over saturation of fanboyism like this thread might be part of the reason we have a poor game on our hands. I'm sure it contributes to a feeling of infallibility among the developers and a sense that whatever they put out is going to be enjoyed. Maybe tone it down a bit, thanks.
I agree. It's just like your dog pooping on the couch and you not beating the hell out of it...over time it will start thinking that pooping there is alright and keep doing it...and we don't want the dev team spoiled, do we? We need them on their toes, working as hard and the best they can to offer a good result (which i'm already waiting for an year to see...until now this dev team only frustrated me).

What a horrid analogy lmfao *facepalm* You know nothing of dog psychology and are [Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.] if you beat one for doing such a thing :S

[Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.]. If you people only see minimal changes you clearly haven't been following the game. In addition to the patches and changes we have gotten so far, all the interviews and sharing of info, plus ALL the planning and work already done for patches 1.20 and 1.21, fullly new and upgraded server hardware implmentation soon, mass server AND base coding changes to the game, as well as work on expansion in the process, and stuff we also probably don't know about even, with a limited team and budget, they are doing above and beyond. Ya they're REALLY lazy people who have done nothing at all *sarcasm*

So thank you dev team, people are still crying over the launch and can't get over themselves. Luckly those people are in the minority and people who have the brain power to look at everything as a whole can see the mass amounts of work your doing with what you have to deal with. It's above what most mmo devs will ever do or ever have to do. Glad to also hear we are only 50% done with changes once 1.19 is out... looking forward to the future of the game and its corresponding re-release!
