Had they worked their assess off earlier, they wouldn't be in this predicament. Part of this community seems to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. "Thank you for working on a game that was released completely broken and making it slightly less broken with an entire year worth of development." The concept just boggles my mind.

I don't totally dislike the game, but I'm not prepared to thank the developers for making the progress they've made so far. It's really not that amazing and some would even consider progress thus far to be rather slow.
You do understand that the team that took over in Nov/Dec is basically recreating this game right? And I am fairly certain Yoshi-P works longer than a 14 hour day...

Yes, I'm aware. Yoshi and company are being paid to do a job. Should I thank them for doing a job? How in the world would you know about his sleeping habits? It was an example.

I thank people for doing something they're not obligated to do i.e. open a door for me, buy me lunch etc.

    Because he has discussed them...

You are correct ma'am, you should not appreciate other people's work and dedication. Bc you are so amazing!

The dev team is not obligated to to ask our opinions, provide these forums for you to whine, or to provide us the information as much as they do. However, they do.

Like I said, I don't think it's necessary to thank people for doing a job that they're being paid for. They're professionals. They don't need a gold star for doing a good job. Do you go to work and hope your boss thanks you for doing the job he pays you for?

I stopped playing after December last year and have recently returned to see how things are. They are better, but still very disappointing considering how long it's been; many of the original flaws are still prevalent. I will gladly offer up my thanks as soon as they deliver a game worth paying for because if they started charging tomorrow I can garauntee half the players would leave. At the rate they are progressing, this game won't hit the ps3 til 2013, and if they put it out in 2012 for the ps3 I would wager it would be met with much of the same reviews as they original.

Only things that are worth thanking this dev team:

    -UI changes
    -New WS animations
    -/pose
    -Bikinis
    -Events since last easter

Other than this they onlt f'ed up things even more. Also, while i agree that they don't need thanks for doing their jobs, i do think it's a good thing the community show their appreciation when they feel they did something right. It's just like me annd Minagawa team...while i hate several parts of this dev team with passion, Minagawa team has been doing some outstanding work at UI, Nobuo Uematsu and Akihiko Yoshida too (these two are between SE "pearls"...the day even they start failing on their duty SE is doomed =P)...and the event team (which unfortunately i don't whow who is the lead) also did a great job.

But any appreciation ends here...if i start talking about battle or the "creative" concepts of modern MMOs this dev team is using, i'd end having my post removed for "depreciative remarks"...again.

So we should not give thanks to CS that help us solving our problem?
We should not give thanks to mechanic that repair our car?

OMG, what would this world becomes without even a little gratitude....

Sorry to the "positivity" people, but I have to side with the "negativity crowd."

There's already the pretty silly "thread of a thousand thank-yous" on this board. Frankly, that shouldn't even be here.

This dev team is not that different from the team that released this game initially. The reason they're working so hard now is because they apparently didn't work, or didn't do the right work, before they released a piece of crap to all the fans. Sure, it's great that they're working hard to fix it, but it CERTAINLY doesn't deserve special thanks. If anything it deserves the assurance that IF they're successful in turning the game around, then the playerbase will stick around.

Remember 2 points. 1)Everyone here who plays this game has paid something for a product that is still considered rather poor quality by the people who made it. 2) This is their job. Fixing their own mistakes doesn't deserve special thanks.

And as a side note, consider for a moment that the over saturation of fanboyism like this thread might be part of the reason we have a poor game on our hands. I'm sure it contributes to a feeling of infallibility among the developers and a sense that whatever they put out is going to be enjoyed. Maybe tone it down a bit, thanks.

I agree. It's just like your dog pooping on the couch and you not beating the hell out of it...over time it will start thinking that pooping there is alright and keep doing it...and we don't want the dev team spoiled, do we? We need them on their toes, working as hard and the best they can to offer a good result (which i'm already waiting for an year to see...until now this dev team only frustrated me).
