We also lose all our Aetherial stacks & it's set on full cooldown. That is painful in the extreme.
This is my main gripe at the moment and as you said its propably due win-trading but they really need to get that solved before S1 starts, arenas are made for pre-mades and not for solo players tbh and this comes from solo player because i want to see competitive matches here in FFXIV from guys like JoeNeverFails and solo que wont give me that fix. I doubt i will strive for high ranks but i still want to see those in action who are going for top spots, still today i watch high level WoW arena matches and SC2/CS:GO even tho i dont play those games. This game mode is based around coordinating strategy and tactics with your group members to defeat the opposing team, so why, I ask, is the reward structure centered around a mode where you are put up against and with a bunch of strangers? That's not how team-based PVP should work. It should be ranked..Oh, you know, with a premade team setting in mind.
About 4 v 4 - solo
Match making is a joke. I understand we were all new to PvP at one point, and I'll openly admit that I'm still not that experienced in it. Yet, from a common sense standpoint its not fair to players of any tier to improperly match them.
I don't feel good stomping the hell out of someone on their first match, and I doubt I would feel like playing pvp much if in their position. At the same time if you put a salt lord high tier player in with a first timer, do you really think that will play out well if that first time is say... a healer? The party working together is so very important in this mode and three people cant make up for that one person that is inexperienced.
Getting hosed by the random chance of getting an inexperienced party in your qualifiers sounds about the complete opposite of fun. Am I just supposed to say, "shucks, well now I get to wait a couple months till I can waste more weeks of time grinding up ranks for a chance at a shiny nothing"?
Summoners get destroyed by monks?? First I heard of that. Last summoner I know casted that full debuff move, ruin combo and nuke finish. Yeah no.
It sucks to get noob member If I am high ranked, hard to get new rank in solo 4 vs 4.
Any decent MNK should be able to wreck a SMN. A SMN does not have enough potency to kill a MNK if they have just one of second wind/rejuvinate/recouperate/have vit accesories/single heal from healer/purify at the right time. And even moreso if something is knocked off by one ilm. And if the SMN doesn't kill anything with their burst, they are useless for the next minute. Left to freecast they can do a bit more, but with a MNK on them constantly they will be more dead weight than anything else.
But it's not MNKs specifically, SMNs get destroyed by any melee really. They have no self heals (physics does nothing), no escape moves, and very little CC. That 1 burst/min is all there is.

playing as a SCH i have to admit monks are just a hard counter it actually seems unfair with the free sprinting and one ilm it actually shuts your healing down almost 100%
I really do hope they make it less of a grind to rank up, you literally have to play 24/7 as well as having enough luck to have a team that is competent enough to win with you to even get close to Diamond rank.
Having new players when you're higher rank than them is really annoying and I am not going to invest my time into this if it stays this way, we already have enough grind content as it is, I was really into the Feast till I realized how long it would take to rank up, now I just don't want to bother playing Feast at all. The reward for doing it isn't even worth the time either especially how exclusive it will be as op has already mentioned.

I suggest players not ranked above rank 40 cannot enter 4x4 solo. They can do 8x8 but not bother players trying to rank for real
