Gated healing question

Thanks again for this substantial amount of info!

From what I'm gathering, each healing job has a different resource to manage their healing or abilities.
I see that WHM is straight to the point with MP, while AST and SCH's options are centered around their current resources.

I would recommend trying out all 3 healers and seeing which playstyle you like. You'll level all 3 to lv.30 or so anyway, so it's fine to play with the early dungeons to see what it's like. Just start with the one that sounds the most enjoyable to you.

I'll definitely take this advice. AST jumps out to me first, since I like the idea of the card gimmick. I'll probably try SCH then WHM.

Healing in easier content is way more relaxed since to some amount the fairy can heal alone and the scholar can freely do damage and just fill in heals when necessary. In some content it let's you to be in two places at once, sort of.

This was my reading too, though that's probably too narrow a look at Aetherflow. I know I'm being kind of pedantic here but you can already be sitting on a 3 stack, use all 3 charges Aetherflow and use the new 3. In the extreme you could follow up with a dissipate for another 3 charges. 9 uses in as many seconds, if we're talking Lustrate and discounting the lag on buffs being processed.

The advanced content sounds exciting! I like that the SCH can adjust their playstyle on the fly and manipulate their pet usage.
