Finally joined the 3-star club on Carpenter. Took almost 30 mil to get there from where I started, and that isn't counting materia (probably used 10-20mil worth of materia I had stockpiled). On my server, the accessories are currently going for 1.5-2 mil a pop. There is definitely good Gil to be had, but it sure as heck is going to take a lot to recoup my investment.

high profit only last 2 days then dropped to rock bottom price quicky in my server
crafters often offer 400k for body / leg , 300k for the rest of left hand side eq and 200k for right hand eq in PF
I personally found its not worth the time and effort to do it anymore (3 star rotation is really time consuming) and back to selling Chimerical and Serpentskin sets which I can quick macro them, and the profit in those have almost tripled since 3.2.

the commodities in JP servers are so much cheaper than NA but this also means its hard to rack up millions of gil
so in the end, the ratio of spending and earning power of the populations are roughly the same

I'd gladly join the club if materias weren't so expensive right now >_> I even crafted my i170 HQ sets and was so proud of those...and I'm still using my pentamelded i150 set XD
Since I don't craft so often I think I won't be able to make back the gil I'd have to spend on materia melding. Well, at least I did some 20mln with gathering mats, so I'm ok.

I agree, I use my Gathering Tokens do Favors and acquire MOAR 2* Materials... then I craft HQ 2* materials and sell them for between 500K - 1M+ gil each I still need 30x Craftsman Competence V Materia haha

As for someone who geared up to 2*crafts with all my classes with only i150 white gear, which only costs like 3million total since i used only materia III, im pretty overjoyed how easy it was for me to hit 3*crafting. It took the free i180 weapon and the offhand i170 with one control IV to hit that cap with the help of extremly cheap beet soup. I might not have the 472cp bis, just 397 instead however i have yet to nq a single finished produkt. I made 25 million out of 3milion investment prepatch, note that im mainly raiding and started buiness like 5days after release. If you plan things out, its easy to hit the requirementx however i wouldnt recommend to gear up for profit since the market gonna poummet to zero in a week or 2. This wont yield much profit in the future...

My GSM is finally at 851/789/422 (Crafts/Control/CP) and I couldn't be more happy about it!!

It took a lot of favor farming, sand farming, materia overmelding... but it feels so nice to finally be at the end game crafting! Now I need to get my LTW and BSM there as well!!

But my friends who aren't crafters/gatherers have more comfortable life compare to former expensive world only with gil the game give them (roulette, challenge log, mark bill, etc).
