I don't know about the OP but you were definitly one of those kids that didn't learn to read. He clearly wasn't upset about the date being pushed back, rather the fact that the day it was pushed back to coincided with the release of Dark SOuls, a game he has been looking forward to playing. Take the time to actually read whats being said instead of going off all half cocked like people do all the time on this site after reading the title of the post and nothing more. Jackass

Demons Souls, Dark Souls hype is nothing like Halo, Grand Theft Auto. If you havent played Demons Soul you really dont know or understand the pure awesomeness of the game. It's a game you either love or hate with a burning passion, and there will be alot of those who will buy it because they think they know what they getting into and rage quit 2 hours later.
The 95% of the game pain and suffering and some of the most frustrating situations you will ever encounter in a game.
However, it's about that 5% that is the most rewarding thing you ever encounter.
Also Demons Souls story and setting is not something simply good vs evil. It's probably one of the scariest, most grim, and dark games out there.

I doubt I'd hate it. In all honesty the only game I've played that I despise completely is Left4Dead, because it's the worst excuse for a cash-cow video games I've ever seen, every single thing in it screams "pay us the price of a real game for a half life 2 expansion pack!" and seriously the gameplay was... lax at best, just repeating the same 4 scenarios over and over again? It had no replayability whatsoever but people got obsessed with it just because it had zombies in. Whoopdeedoo it has zombies, just like 90% of the Capcom games for the last 10 years. I was forced to play L4D though 'cos my friend at the time (who is now no longer my friend) kept demanding I play it when I was at his house because it's all he EVER played.

Other than that I can't really say I've ever played a game I hated, so I probably wouldn't mind Demon Souls, I just don't really have any interest in playing it though since I don't have a PS3 and I'm not a big fan of medievil style games.

Left4Dead had massive replay value through it's multi-player modes. Not only could you co-op... you could compete where players could play as zombies or survivors... That means you had 2 diff ways to view a battle in addition to different maps and different class make ups for different strategies... I mean... If by replay value you meant doing the same maps that could be completed in the space of an hour over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, then... well, you get the picture. And so what if it had co-op? So does Lost Planet 2, and Lost Planet 2 is by far a more fun game, and it lasts a heck of a lot longer. If I'm gonna pay £40 for a game I want it to entertain me for a long period of time, not be able to complete all of it's map content in the time it takes to watch 1 Lord Of The Rings film. Left4Dead should have been a Half-Life 2 expansion pack, just like Counter-Strike, not sold as a completely new game, because really all it was was a Half-Life 2 mod.

The only real reason L4D did so well was because it was marketed at just the right time during the big 'zombie fad' everyone was going crazy for, and they never even realised that every single map was just:

follow linear path > close safehouse door > next map > repeat > next map > repeat > next map > repeat > next map > wait 5 minutes for rescue boat > scenario complete > repeat x 3.

At least games like CoD had some constant playability for multiplayer in the form of unlockable weaponry and perks, L4D has nothing like that, the 100th playthrough is still going to be exactly the same as the 1st playthrough.
