You might be missing their point. The only legitimate gil in this game is gil that's earned as a reward for quests, leves, roulettes, or things of that nature. Think about the source of gil; you may sell an item for 5,000,000 to someone, but how did they get that money? They got it from selling items to another player, but how did that player get their money? From selling items to yet another player.

There is very little gil generated in this game from game activities. The majority of people who make their money make it on the MB, which is all money trading hands, not money being generated. When you start to think about how much money the average person makes from the game itself, not other players, you're talking in the thousands or tens of thousands, not millions.

The point is that RMT bots that did cycle through true gil generation methods like quests, leves, vendor selling, duties, and things of that nature, for extremely small amounts of gil but multiplied by a large number of characters doing the quest at once, they are the true source of a lot of the gil we use in-game. Now, if you did mean that you can make millions in a day from game methods like that, then I apologize, but I don't know any way that's possible.

It's a little over half the size of a small house, with no yard. It also has no access to gardening, which most people probably can't do in their FC. I wouldn't say it's necessarily that much worse, just more limited. Also, to be quite honest, it's ridiculous that a feature is even advertised to try and draw people into this game when it's not available to the (overwhelming) majority of people who own the game. It would probably be more accepted if the market wasn't full of games that have housing systems that allow everyone to participate instead of only a select few; one that's a free to play game with a nearly identical system, but with more than ten times the available housing.

That is condescending nonsense. If it would be ONLY about the housing, I wouldn't play it. But for me, it is a factor and no, The Sims is not a replacement.
Don't tell me what I can have fun with or not. I am probably a lot older than most people here and back in the day, housing was a social experience and that is why I play MMORPGs. For the social experience, not for shiny armor.

You're on the right track though. Getting closer to 50. Got a GC rank-up. Leveled your DoH and DoL. All that within a week. You must have found out by now that you don't neccessarily need a garden to make some cash. Also you joined a FC that owns a house so be told that the social experience won't get much more than that even if you buy your own house. Get a room (literally) and you should be fine for now. Keep it up and keep your eyes out for randomly opening spots and eventually you'll have your own house in 3.3 at the latest.

This player here is reporting that, after speaking to a GM, they have stated that it's the use of PF for selling your plot that is reportable; as technically that is not what the system is used for.

Plot selling is a very grey area as if the buyer doesn't understand that your cost is the "Relinquish" fee and that they would then need to pay the full price of the plot this opens it up to "Scam" violations if they report you.

You could technically get around this by selling the time that your house will be taken down for buyers to go repurchase. I believe this was confirmed to be acceptable. Seems kind of dumb since it equates to the same end result. :/
